One more card for tonight. Thanks for coming back. I truly appreciate it.
This card uses an Anne Fenton image. Anne and Sandi are illustrators for the Outlawz Creative Freebie Challenge. They also each have blogs. Click Here for Anne's Blog and Here for Sandi's Blog.
I tried a new something for this card. I have never actually sewed on a card before. I have done the faux stitching, but never actual thread and a needle. It was time consuming, but worth the effort. I like the way it turned out.
I began by making a card 6x6 white card base. I added a panel of DCWV DP. I cut two purple strips of Recollections card stock and a strip of green Recollections card stock. I layered those towards the bottom of the card. The strip of DP in the middle is DCWV. I printed out the image on Neenah card stock and colored it with BIC Markers and a white gel pen for highlights. I cut out the image using my circle cutter. I inked the edges with DI Vintage Photo and added some black stitching around the image. The sentiment is from Tami Mayberry's Faithful Florals stamp set. I matted it on the same purple card stock. The green glitter "brads" are actually drops of hot glue with glitter pressed onto them. It's a really simple process and you can make them to coordinate your project. It takes about 6 minutes to make 7 of them. I found the technique on a YouTube video..Check it Out.
Thanks so much for stopping back in tonight. I truly appreciate it. God bless y'all.
