Horsing Around

Hi there.  I have a birthday card that I made for one of Kierstynne's friends to show y'all today.  She is obsessed with horses.  She is even taking riding lessons now.  Dani loves them.

I decided to go with black and white for this card.  I used the running horse from the Inkadinkado set "Horses".  I inked up the stamp with Versafine Black Onyx ink and stamped it three times without reinking.  This gives the appearance of the horse running across the page.  The sentiment is The Paper Studio "Clearly Speaking".  I added some black and white gingham ribbon and three black rhinestones to finish off the card.

Dani's party was a Thanksgiving morning breakfast and when she saw this card, she had a fit.  Yeah, she loved it.

Thanks for stopping in.  I hope y'all have a great night and keep warm.  God bless y'all.

QKR Stampede's Challenge: It's Beginning to Look Alot Like Christmas

Hello my friends.  Welcome back to my blog.  I'm a bit late posting this.  I should have had it up yesterday.

Our new challenge for this week is : It's Beginning to Look alot Like Christmas.

I used "Christmas Cheer" to make this card.

I colored this little guy with my trusty Crayolas.  I fussy cut him out and adhered him to a hexagon cut from my new Spellbinder's Die set.  The patterned papers are from Colorbok's Hootenanny collection.  I printed the sentiment and matted it onto a piece of green card stock.  I know the candy cane looks black and white, but it's actually glittery red and white.

I hope to see you guys over at QKR Stampede this week with some great Christmas cards.  Have a great day and God bless y'all.

Stay tuned Sunday for the first posting of the 12 Days of Creepmas sponsored by Smeared and Smudged.

The Crafter's Cafe Challenge

Hello there.  Welcome back to my little spot in blog land.  I am so grateful to everyone of you who take the time to come see what I have been up to.

Today's card is for the new Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog challenge.  It's Anything Goes and the DT used Eureka images this week.

I chose "The Legend of the Butterfly" for my card.  It's a beautiful story.  I trimmed it down and inked the edges before matting it on a piece of Cream card stock.  The card base is made from the same Cream Recollections card stock.  The patterned papers are from K & Co.  All those cute little butterflies are made from the Martha Stewart punches, but I'm not sure of the names.  The one punch has the larger butterfly and the other has three smaller butterflies.  I added some pearls to the bigger ones to finish off my card.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope y'all will consider joining us at TCCCB this week.  Have a great day and God bless!

Fall Colors with Melonheadz Friends

Welcome back friends.  Today begins a new challenge at Melonheadz Friends.  Our challenge this week is "Fall Colors".  I used the Fall Bundle to create my card.

I combined four images from the set to created this cute little scarecrow.  My papers are DCWV and I added some leaf brads that I took the prongs off of and added with 3D glue dots.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you will join in our challenge this time at Melonheadz Friends.
Have a great day and God bless!

It's Cold Here

Good Morning.  Happy Sunday to ya!  My husband just checked the weather here in good ole Northeast PA and it's 15 degrees this morning.  It snowed a bit yesterday...just a dusting.  The high for today? 21.  That's a bit too cold for me.   For Thanksgiving?  The high is 21, the low?  -2.  That is why I am not going Black Friday Shopping.  I'm not freezing my butt off for a sale.  I hope y'all are warm and cozy wherever you are.

Have a great day and I'll be back tomorrow with another wonderful challenge for Digi Darla and Melonheadz Friends.  Stay tuned.  God bless y'all.

Spectacular Saturday with Paper A La Mode

It's Saturday.  I got to sleep in today.  Yippee!!  I don't get to sleep in very often and boy, did I enjoy it.

Today starts a new challenge at Paper A La Mode.  Last week's challenge, "Snowflakes and Stars" brought in some beautiful cards.

This week's challenge is "Die Cuts/Punches"  and I used my Spellbinders Hexagon dies and an image from Beccy Muir.

I colored the birdhouse with my Crayolas and fussy cut it.  I used a K & Co paper for the hexagons.  I added a couple pieces of washi tape at the top because it just looked too plain.  The sentiment is from Stampin' Up.

I hope to see your creations at Paper A La Mode for this week's challenge.  Thanks for stopping by today.  God bless ya!

Christmas Baubles at My Time to Craft

Hello my friends.  Welcome back to my blog.  I have been hard at work crafting away.  I'm so bad though, I haven't started my Christmas cards yet.  Hopefully I have enough that I have made between last year and this to send out.  I'm shortening my list drastically, but still need quite a few.

Today's card is for the My Time to Craft's challenge "Christmas Baubles".  I made a CAS card for this challenge.

These ornaments are from one of my first stamp sets and I have no idea who designed it.  I stamped them with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a card base made from GP card stock.  I colored them with Sakura Glitter pens.  I added a sentiment at the bottom.  That's it..very simple.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope y'all have a great day.  God bless ya.

Digital Stamps 4 Joy Stitching Challenge

Welcome friends.  Thanks for taking time out of your day to visit me.  I truly appreciate it.

The card I have for y'all in this post is a bit of a twist.  The challenge over at DS4J is stitching.  Since I don't have a sewing machine and I don't have the patience for hand stitching, I used faux stitching.  The image I chose is not a Christmas image, but I turned this Misteri image into one.

I noticed the bells attached to her skirt and immediately thought of the song, "Jingle Bells".  So, I colored her with reds, greens and gold.  I pulled two patterned papers from The Paper Studio Holly Jolly 6x6 pad.  The wreath stamp is an old, old set that I bought when I first started stamping in 2010. I had to write the sentiment because I didn't have a stamp that said anything about bells or jingling.  I used two different BIC Markers for the faux stitching around the image and the sentiment.

I hope y'all enjoyed your visit today.  Thanks again for stopping by.  God bless and have a great day.

I am also entering this card into the Fab and Funky Anything Goes challenge.

Simply B November Challenge

Hello there.  I haven't posted in a while, but I'm back tonight with a card that I made for the Simply B Fan Page challenge for November.  You could pick either the Indian Betty or the Pilgrim Betty.  I chose Indian Betty.

I had to color this girl twice.  I tried the first time with my Spectrum Noir, but I couldn't get her hair to look right.  So, I printed her out again and colored her with my trusty Crayolas.

Isn't she adorable?  I made my background paper with Martha Stewart Stamps.  Some of the are leaves and some are feathers.  I used Memento inks to stamp with.  I added some paper flowers die cut from a Cuttlebug die and added some rhinestones to the centers.  The sentiment is from Mary at Cardz TV.  I just love her stamps.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope y'all have a great day.  God bless y'all.

I am also going to enter this card into the following challenges:
Simply Create Too--Give Thanks
Sentimental Sundays--Giving Thanks #181
Created with Love--Anything Goes  #67
Papertake Weekly--Give Thanks
V's Sweet Ideas--Color Challenge

Saturday with Paper A La Mode

Hello there.  Today is Saturday...yippee..and this starts another new challenge over at Paper A La Mode.  Last week's challenge was sponsored by Rick St. Dennis.  Y'all know how much I love Rick's images.  The winner is going to receive 2 images of their choice from Rick's new zibbets store.

This week our sponsor is Bugaboo Stamps.  Jodie has some wonderful designs over in her shop.  The winner of this week's challenge will receive 2 images of their choice.

Our theme for this week was chosen by Theresa, and it's Stars and Snowflakes.

Here's what I created:
The stamp set that I used is from Jenny Ellory and the papers are from DCWV Winter Basics 6x6 paper pad. Even though the card stock looks green it is actually turquoise.  I used the rosettes stamp to make the circles and added some light turquoise gems to the center. The bows are part of the stamp set and I just stamped them on the patterned paper and cut them out.  It's a very simple Christmas card, but I like it.

Thanks for stopping in today and I hope y'all enjoy your day.  God bless ya!

I am also going to enter this card into the following challenges:

Oldie but a Goodie--CAS Christmas
Papertake Weekly--Snow and Ice
Shopping Our Stash--Use Something on Your Desk--stamp set
Twisted Tuesday--Pop Dots and Polka Dots (sentiment pop dotted; polka dots in patterned paper and the circle background)
Hiding in My Craft Room--Die Cuts (Cuttlebug)

Fridays with QKR Stampede

Happy Friday, friends.  Today starts another challenge with QKR Stampede.  Our challenge this week is Western World.  There are quite a few western images in the store for you to check out.

I chose the Cowgirl and Saddled Snail to make my out of the box Christmas card.

I wanted something a bit different for one of my friends who is from out west.  I am going to send this to her and her husband for Christmas.  I began by coloring with Crayola colored pencils and OMS.  The background papers are from Basic Gray and the circle is SU Crumb Cake.  I needed a grounding point for the snail and cowgirl so I created some hills on the bottom of the circle.  The sentiment is Barbed Wire Merry Christmas.  I added some dash lines around the sentiment and circle.

Thanks so much for joining me today.  I hope you enjoyed your visit.  Take a chance and join us at QKR this week.  Your card just might win.  God bless.

I colored this beautiful image with my Crayolas and OMS.  I fussy cut her out and used pop dots to adhere her.  I used DCWV and K & Co papers and card stock.  The little leaf buttons are from my stash and the sentiment is a set from CardzTV called "Thankful for You".  This is one of my first sets from Mary and I have to tell you, I love them.  They are very well made and stamp beautifully with many different types of inks.

The Crafter's Cafe Challenge

Good Morning.  Welcome to another Crafter's Cafe challenge.  This week, the DT is using images from Rick St. Dennis.  The theme?  You can never have too many embellishments.  This is right up my alley.  I love embellies.

I am using Esmeralda 2 for my card.

I decided to use purples on this card, well, just because it's one of my favorite colors.  I used my Crayola colored pencils to add some life to Esmeralda.  I then trimmed down the image, rounded the corners and inked it with Dusty Concord DI.  I used two papers from DCWV Violet Leaf 6x6 paper pad.  I cut those to 2" x 5" and rounded just the inner two corners.  I used two colors of purple card stock from Colorbok and some black Recollections card stock.  The flowers are all The Paper Studio and the leaves are die cuts from a friend of mine..Hi Jan!  I added a few little purple epoxy dots to finish it off.

Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today.  I hope to see one of your cards in our challenge this week.  God bless!

Word Art Wednesday

Hello there friends.  Today I have a card that I made for the Word Art Wednesday challenge.  This week, as always, the challenge is an Anything Goes, but you have the option of using the Scripture verse they picked.  This week it's Isaiah 41:13.

I decided to go for a black and white color scheme.  There is something so classy about those two colors together.  I pulled two papers from my stash (DCWV) in black and white for this card.  I printed out the word art fairly large because I wanted the Scripture to take precedence.  I wrapped a piece of black and white plaid ribbon around the bottom of the focal panel, matted it onto a piece of black Recollections card stock and adhered it to the card.  I added some crystal leaves, two white flowers, one black flower and a stick pin.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope y'all enjoyed this card.  Can't wait to see ya again.  God bless!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge

Welcome back to my little piece of the world.  It's been pretty chilly here in NE PA.  I am so not ready for winter.  I hate snow.  Yep, that's right.  I said it. I live in Pennsylvania and I hate snow.  Thank God I don't live in one of those places where it snows in feet and not inches.  I wouldn't know what to do.

So, that being said, I made a winter card for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week.

It's a very CAS card.  I don't make these too often, but the sketch just called for one.  It's a bit hard to see, but I used some Summer Sky Memento Ink and stamped random snowflakes on the bottom part of the card.  I used the same stamp and ink and added some snowflakes to the sentiment.  The two papers are from DCWV Dots 6x6 paper pad.  I used a Fiskars punch for the sentiment and it's from a set of stamps that I first got when I started stamping, so I'm not sure who designed it.  Adding three light blue rhinestones finished off this quick and easy card.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope y'all have a great night/day!  God bless.

Saturdays with Paper A La Mode

Good morning.  Welcome to my blog on this beautiful Saturday morning.  Today starts a new challenge over at Paper A La Mode.  Our sponsor for this challenge is Rick St. Dennis.  We are so super excited to have him as our sponsor.  Rick's artwork is amazing.

For my card, I used this cute Santa and Mrs. Claus image:
I used my trusty ole Crayola's and Sakura Glitter pens to add some sparkle.  I pulled out one of my MME paper pads from last year for the patterned paper. The card stock is Recollections. The holly and berry embellishments are from K & Co.

I have been working hard trying to get some sponsors for our little group on the Outlawz and have succeeded a bit.  Each month our sponsor prizes will be awarded.  So, if you enter this challenge, at the end of November our winners will be picked and the prizes awarded at the beginning of December.  You should come join us, you could win 2 of Rick's images.

Thanks for stopping by this morning.  I hope y'all have a great weekend.

Make it Monday Challenge

So, glad to see y'all came back.  I have another card for ya tonight.  This one uses a sweet image from Saturated Canary, who is the sponsor for this week's MIM challenge.

She's colored with Crayola and die cut with Spellbinders Labels 10.  I cut a second label in Brown and offset them just a bit.  All the papers are from Recollections Bright and Jolly set from last year.  The card stock is Recollections.  I added some blue pearls from Queen and Co. to finish it off.

Thanks so much for stopping in and I'll see y'all tomorrow with the Paper A La Mode challenge for the week.  Have a great night.

Kenny K's Challenge: Pumps and Pearls

Welcome back.  Don't you just love Kenny K's images?  I'm addicted.  I think they have to be one of my favorites in the digi world.  My list is a long one, but he's definitely high ranking.

The challenge this week is Pumps and Pearls so I chose Mrs. Claus to use for my image.

She's colored with my trusty Crayola's and OMS.  I just am not that good with the markers yet.  I'm still practicing, but haven't quite got the hang of it.  The papers are from The Paper Studio and the card stock from Recollections.  I found that silver and red ribbon in my Christmas stash and the red pearls are from Queen and Co.  I did add some glitter and sparkle to her with Sakura Glitter pens.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Hope y'all have a great night.

Ike's World Challenge #4

Hello friends.  I am home alone tonight so I have been crafting my heart out.  I got four cards made and still have one to go.

This first card is for the Ike's World Challenge #4 Krazy Kritterz.  I love Ike's artwork.  It's amazing.  If you haven't ever seen it, please make sure to check it out.

I used a cute little Santa Dog for this card.

I tried to color him like my Jack Russell and he came out pretty close.  I used Crayola colored pencils and OMS.  The papers are from The Paper Studio and the card stock is Recollections.  I stamped the sentiment (from my stash) with Versa Fine Onyx Black.  I followed the sketch from this week's challenge at Digi Sketch Challenge.  I am also entering this one into the Paper Take Weekly Anything Goes challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I truly appreciate it.  I love reading the comments that you guys leave for me.  Have a great night.

November Freebie with Rick St. Dennis

Happy Friday.  Today I have a card that I created using the November Freebie from Rick's newsletter..Priscilla Pilgrim.  Isn't she just the cutest little mouse?

I colored her with Crayola colored pencils and OMS. I picked papers from a Me and My Big Ideas Layered paper pack.  I followed  the Seems a Little Sketchy #51 sketch to make this card.  The ribbon and button are from my stash.  I printed out the sentiment.  Each piece was inked with DI Vintage Photo.

I am also entering this card in the following challenges:
Seems a Little Sketchy
Robyn's Fetish--Thanksgiving
Sentimental Sundays--Falling into Autumn
Penny's Paper Crafty--Lots of Layers
Card Makin Mamas-  Sentiments
V's Sweet Ideas--Color Challenge

Thank y'all for stopping by today.  Have a wonderfully blessed weekend.

Just Some Lines Challenge

Today's card is for the Just Some Lines challenge: 3 or more embellishments.  I used this beautiful JSL image and colored her with Crayola colored pencils and OMS.

The image had her eyes closed, but I altered it just a bit and added so me eyes using acrylic paint.  The papers are from DCWV and the sentiment is from my stash.  When I first started stamping and scrapping, I would pull everything out of it's package and store it by theme.  Yeah, I've learned not to do that.  Now, I keep everything in it's package or if I use another form of storage I make sure to label each stamp set and paper pad.  My three or more embellishments are the rhinestones.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope y'all have a wonderfully blessed day!

Mondays with Digi Darla

Hello there.  It's the first day of a new week and back to school for Kierstynne.  She is doing so much better and after a week off of school, she's ready to go back.  We have a lot to catch up on, but we will have a good week.

Today starts a new challenge with Digi Darla.  Our challenge this week is a Photo Inspiration challenge.

Aren't these some beautiful colors?  This palette is courtesy of Design Seeds.

Here's what I made for this challenge:
I began by making a background on glossy paper with alcohol inks.  I trimmed it down a bit to fit a standard A2 size card base (Recollections).  The image is called Sailboat True Love and can be found in the Digi Darla Store.  I added some fish ribbon along the bottom and a cool button that reminded me of the ocean.  I also added a piece of sea glass to the top of the button.

I hope y'all will decided to join us at Digi Darla this week to join in this great challenge.  Have a blessed day and God bless.

Today....

Hello there!  I'm glad you stopped by.  This post is strickly an update of what's been going on here.  No pics, no cards, no projects.  Sorry to disappoint.

Today, my MIL came down and helped Tim and I put in some new carpet.  I'm hurting, but it was worth it.  I cannot believe how much of a difference light colored carpet makes.  Our living room had a red/burgundy colored carpet that had been in this house for about 20 years.  I called it Whore Red.  It really did look like something that would be in a brothel.  But, now, it's light and airy.  Our new carpet is a beige color and because we have paneling in the house, it used to look dark and dreary.  Not any more.  I love it!  We also had enough carpet left to do the dining room.

I went to Walmart and bought what I need to make my own ink pad storage system.  I have been eyeing up You Tube videos and finally decided to make one.  I'm excited and will take pics along the way as well as link up the video that I followed.  I should have that posted by the first of the week.

Kierstynne is feeling better, thank God.  She was so sick this past week.  Back to school on Monday. Yippee!!

For those of you who didn't know, my granny turned 90 on Monday, the 28th.  She is such a special lady. She even had her picture in the local paper back home.  She had a wonderful day..lots of cards, phone calls, two birthday cakes, and a special dinner at Ruth Chris' Steak House.  Happy Birthday, Granny...can't wait to celebrate 100 with you!!

Well, that's about it for now.  Just wanted to give y'all a bit of an update of my life.  See ya next time.

Super Saturday with Paper A La Mode

Welcome to another challenge with Paper A La Mode on the Outlawz ning site.  If you haven't checked us out, please go here.  Now, you do have to sign up to be part of the site, but once you do, you have access to all the challenges.

Our challenge this week is from Debbie and she chose Snowmen as our theme.  We also have started having sponsors on our little group and this week our fab sponsor is Sherry from A Random Fan Digi Stamps.  The prize?? 2 images from her store.  Just like the rest of the Outlawz groups, we pick winners on a monthly basis.  So, if you win this week's challenge, you will receive your images the first of December.

Here's what I came up with....

This is the front of the card.  I used two The Paper Studio punches to create the window.  The papers are from Recollections. (That cute little snowman you can see through the window, part of a piece of patterned paper.)  The stamp on the front is a Studio G and I used some Sakura Glitter pens on him and added three blue gems for buttons.  The snowflakes are from a pack of table decorations that I got at the Dollar Store a couple years ago and I just added some gems onto them.  I added some glitter pen to a few of the snowflakes on the patterned paper too.

Here's the inside:

I kept the punched out pieces of the front and used them for a sentiment mat on the inside.  I stamped in Memento Bahama Blue ink and used a stamp from my collection.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope you will decide to join us at Paper A La  Mode.  Maybe you will be our weekly winner.

Next week our sponsor is Rick St. Dennis...y'all know how much I love his work...yeah..RSD..

Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge

Howdy friends.  I have found a new challenge site.  Some of the Wicked Bloggers from the 31 Days of Halloween Smeared and Smudged Blog Hop enter this challenge and I thought it might be a way for me to let myself go dark every now and again.

The challenge for this week is #108 Creepy Halloween.  I used a background paper from Bearly Mine and an image from Smudgy Antics to make this ATC.

I used Crayola colored pencils and OMS for this image.  I fussy cut it out and added the epithet on the tomb stone.  I used pop dots to add the image to the background.  Each piece was inked with DI Vintage Photo.

I'm still not exactly sure about this whole ATC thing. They are so small that I'm not sure exactly what to put on them.  I don't want to overwhelm the image. I guess I'll get it sooner or later.

Thanks for looking and have a blessed day!

Kenny K Challenge

Hello blogger friends.  Now that my blog hop is over, I can concentrate a bit more on some challenges.  I thought I would start with the new Kenny K challenge, Holiday Chic Sparkle.  I used the image, Blonde Bombshell.

I added color to the image with Crayola colored pencils.  The patterned papers are from The Paper Studio Old World Winter pack.  I used Recollections card stock for the card base and mats.  I printed out the sentiment and added some burgundy and green pearls and two poinsettia flowers from K and Co.

Thanks for stopping by to see what I have been up to.  Catch ya next time.  God bless.

Fabulous Friday with QKR Stampede

Happy Friday, Friends.  I have been extremely busy this past month and it is time for a much needed break.  As some of you know, I participated in a month long Halloween blog hop sponsored by Smeared and Smudged.  It was so much fun and I totally enjoyed it, but man, I'm brain dead from all the Halloween creations. So, our project for QKR Stampede was a much needed relief.

Welcome to  the QKR Stampede and Eureka Stamps Blog Hop.  We are so excited to share with you our handmade gifts that are perfect for any holiday!

You should have arrived from Ardilla's  blog.   If not, then you will want to start at the beginning on the QKR Stampede blog, as you will not want to miss a chance at all the prizes we are given away!

I have made 3 different sets of cards and a wall hanging for my projects.

The first set uses the digi Christmas pig and coordinating sentiment:

I did a little something different with these card sets. I didn't use any patterned paper.  I used embossing folders for the backgrounds.  This one uses Tim Holtz December Calendar.  I also didn't use traditional Christmas colors.

Set #2 uses the digi, Away in the Manger and the sentiment, Jesus is the Reason:

This set uses Cuttlebug's AllegroEF and yellow and brown card stock.

The third set uses the digi, Santa's List and the sentiment, Name Ain't There:

This set is a bit more traditional in color and uses Tim Holtz Christmas Words EF.

Each set of cards has it's own gift box.

My final project is a wall hanging that I made for our wall beside our Christmas tree this year.  I used mason jar rings that I painted red and green, and three images from QKR Stampede: Christmas Cactus,  Christmas Snowman and Cowboy Christmas Tree.  I used some ribbons and glitter snowflakes from my stash.

Don't forget to leave comments along the way as there will be a prize from every blog along the hop. Each person along hop will be picking a winner from their blog.

These winners will each win a 2 digital image of their choice.

The Grand Prize winner of the hop will be chosen from the very last stop, which is QKR Stampede Stamps Blog.

This winner will receive 5 digital stamps of their choice from the QKR Stampede store.

The hop will run for 1 week and end on Thursday November 7th 6PM EST, and the lucky winners will be announced on the QKR Stampede  blog on Saturday Nov 9th.

Your next stop is Karal's blog!  Go on over and see what she has created for you.
