Spring Flowers

Hi there again.  I just wanted to blog the other card I made today.  I am getting ready to go to a fish fry at my church.  We have been doing this for the past couple of years and it is fantabulous.  Tomorrow we have a service for Good Friday then on Sunday we gather together at 8:30 am for communion service to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus and then have breakfast together.  What a wonderful weekend.

Here's the card I created:
I used an image from Delicious Doodles to create this card.  I was hoping to enter their challenge, but I missed it by a few hours.  I love Teri's frame images.  They are all so beautiful.

Thanks again for stopping by today.  I hope y'all have a wonderful day and God bless.

Springtime is FINALLY Here

Happy Thursday, friends.  It's a beautiful day here in NE PA.  I hope y'all are enjoying beautiful weather too.

I've been working in my craft room today and have created a couple of cards for challenges and two cards for a blog hop that is coming up with Mark's Finest Papers.

Here's one of the challenge cards:
I am so happy to be using Springtime colors.  And then to be able to look outside and see the trees budding, see the soft winds blowing.  What a wonderful sight.  And so fitting with this weekend. The Resurrection of our Lord Jesus, a new birth, a new beginning.  That's what Spring represents to me.  A new beginning. A resurrection of plants, dead throughout the winter, rising again to bloom with the creativity of a wonderful Lord.  Even the land blooms forth in praises.  What a great season.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I am so thankful that you took time out of your schedule to stop in. Have a wonderful spring day and God bless.

White on White Birthday Card

Good Morning.  Yep, it's Humpday and it's cold here this morning.  It even snowed a bit yesterday.  I can't believe the change in the weather.  Monday it was 70 degrees and last night it was 27.  Unreal.

I was able to get a card done last night that fits the challenge at Seize the Birthday.  The challenge is to create a white on white birthday card.  I don't usually make these types of cards, but I like this one.

Thanks for stopping by to visit today.  I truly appreciate it.  I hope y'all have a great day.  God bless.

Our challenge this round is "CAS".  Now, I'm not very good with CAS cards.  I like the stuff.  But, I was able to come up with a card that I like that doesn't have all the stuff.

We have a wonderful sponsor this round:

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope maybe we will see one of your creations on the blog for this challenge.

Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge #173

Good Morning.  Being that today is Wednesday, that means a new challenge at Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges.  Our theme this week is to USE ICE CREAM COLORS/FLAVORS.

We have two great sponsors this week:

who has generously offered three (3) digis to the winner,  and

who is offering a $10 GC to be used for the following designers: Ali Peeps, Stitchy Bear and My Heart Pieces.

I used a Stitchy Bear Image to create my card.

I wasn't quite sure how to incorporate the theme using a wine barrel, but the more I looked at it and realized there were strawberries in the image I knew what I would do.  My colors/flavors are Strawberry, Chocolate, Vanilla and Pistachio.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope y'all have a great day and God bless.

Simple Salutations at Mark's Finest Papers Challenge #93

Hello Friends.  Thanks for joining me on this beautiful Wednesday morning.  As we gear up for the most wonderful holiday of all, Easter, most of the challenges out there are Easter themed.  For us Christians, Easter is a very special day.  It's not about the bunnies, or the chocolate, egg hunts, baskets or even the new dresses and shoes.  Easter is about the most wonderful gift ever given to anyone.  The gift of God's only son, Jesus.  He was given as a love gift and for our salvation.  The blood that was shed on Good Friday worked it's miracle on Easter Morning.  I am so thankful for that gift.

So, since our challenge theme for Simple Salutations this week is Easter/Spring, I had to make a card representing the true meaning of Easter.

Yes, my friends, He is Risen, indeed.  You will not find Him in a tomb.  He is alive and sitting at the right hand of God the Father, interceding on our behalf.  Praise the Lord!

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I pray y'all have a wonderful day and God bless!

DS4J Challenge #91

Hey, Hey...Do you know what day it is?  Nope, it's a new challenge day at Digital Stamps 4 Joy...LOL.  I bet you thought I was going to say "Hump Day" right?

This challenge round is "Easter/Spring".   We would prefer you to use a DS4J image, but you aren't required to.  But, remember, in order to win the DT Choice prize,  you do need to use a DS4J image. You can find tons in the store.

What would you do if you answered the door and found this cute little fella on your door step? Kierstynne would want to keep him for a pet. LOL

Thanks for joining me today.  I hope you enjoyed this little Easter card.  Maybe I will see one of your projects on the blog for this challenge.  Have a wonderful day and God bless.

Sketch with a Twist at Mark's Finest Papers Challenge #94

Happy Wednesday, Friends.  Thanks for joining me today.  We have a new challenge over at Sketch with a Twist at Mark's Finest Papers.  If you have never joined us, you will have to join the ning site in order to access the challenge.  If you do, there are lots of fun things to do on the site.  And if you join in the challenges, you have a chance to win some really beautiful stamps.

Here's the sketch for this week:

There is always a twist with our sketches and this week it's Easter or Spring.  You can twist the sketch, add embellishments, but make sure we can see the basic sketch on your card.

I did a bit of a different Easter card for this challenge.  I decided to go with an unusual color scheme.  I'm kinda tired of all the pastels already. After about a month of making Easter cards, I'm ready for something different.  I get the same way with Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas cards.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope y'all will consider joining us at MFP for some fabulous challenges.  Have a wonderful day and God bless.

Clear It Out Challenge #23

Good Morning.  It's a beautiful Tuesday here in Northeast PA.  The weather has been beautiful.  I actually had to turn on the fan last night because it got rather warm in the middle of the night.  Yeah!! I'm so excited.  As long as it doesn't get too hot, too fast, I'm good.

Today starts a new challenge at Clear It Out.  Our challenge this week is "Pastels/Brads" and "Easter" themed.  Our sponsor this week is:

The images in this shop are so cute.  I love them.

Here's my cute little Easter bunny card.  Guess what I forgot to add?  Yep, that's right.  Brads.  LOL.  But I got the pastels part right. :)

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today.  I truly appreciate it.  I hope maybe to see some of y'all's creations over at CIO this week.  Have a wonderful day and God bless y'all.

Hello friends.  I was able to get another card made while having a short break in between appointments today.  I had a couple of free hours since Kierstynne went to a friend's house today for a couple of hours.

This card adds to my Christmas card collection for this year.

I love this teddy bear.  He could be a Polar Bear if you so desired.  The inside sentiment says, "I'm sorry.  I've checked twice, but your name just ain't there."  LOL.  This one is so for my younger brother.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope y'all are having a great Saturday.  God bless y'all.

Liebster Award Nomination

Hello there.  I want to thank my friend, Joyce Erbfor her nomination of my blog for this award.  For those of you who aren't familiar with this award, it's for blogs with less than 300 followers.  It's a great way to get your blog out there in cyberland and draw people in to see your work.

Rules for participation in the Liebster Award Nominations
  • Thank you Liebster Blog Award presenter on you blog and answer the questions they presented.
  • Link back to the blogger who awarded you.
  • Copy and paste the pink Liebster Award logo to your blog.
  • Nominate 5 blogs to receive the award who have less than 300 followers.
  • Create a new list of 11 questions for them.
  • Inform them of their nomination.
Here are the questions that Joyce gave me to answer:

How long have you been crafting?
I have been crafting since I was a child.  I began with making Barbie clothes, graduated to my own clothes, crocheting, painting ceramics, acrylic painting, and found paper crafting in 2003 when I wanted a unique way to showcase the thousands of pictures I knew I was going to take of my infant daughter.  In 2010, I tried my hand at cardmaking and have never looked back.

What is your favorite organization tip?
I have a three ringed binder that I store a copy of every stamp I own in.  I also have a die cut for each die I own, markers, inks, etc.  so that when I go shopping, I won't buy duplicates and if I need a certain image or sentiment, I can just grab that book and look for what I need.

What is your favorite tool?
It's a hard choice to narrow it down to one.  I have four that I just cannot live without...my Cuttlebug, My trimmer, Cutterbee Scissors and my Crayola Colored Pencils.

What is your favorite ink?
For images, it would have to be Memento Tuxedo Black. It doesn't run or smear when you use Gamsol. For sentiment, I love Versafine Onyx Black.

What is your favorite glitter?
I don't use alot of loose glitter, but I'm a sucker for Sakura Glitter Pens.

What is your favorite bling?
I use alot of Queen and Company

What inspires you?
Everything.  Nature, paintings, magazines, a song.  I get inspiration from everywhere.

What are your favorite stamps/digi’s?
Rubber stamps would have to be Gina K Designs, The Stamps of Life and Stampin' Up.  Digis, now that is a list. Rick St. Dennis, Kenny K, Digital Stamps 4 Joy, QKR Stampede, Mo Manning, Sassy Studio Designs, Simply Betty.  I could keep going but I won't.

What type cards do you make the most?
I make mostly feminine cards.  Male cards a bit hard for me.

Do you have a favorite “technique” you like to do?
I love to make my own roses.  I also like embossing.

What is on your “To Do” crafting list?
To get a Cameo, to learn how to make those box cards, and to reorganize my craft room.

Thanks again, Joyce, for the nomination.  I truly appreciate it.

I will be back shortly with my nominations.  Stay tuned..it might be you! :)

Here are the blogs that I am nominating for this award:
Precious Kitty Creations--My precious friend, Jan, has created this wonderful blog.  You will find her beautiful cards as well as wonderful devotions here.

Feeling Sketchy--Debi has created this wonderful challenge blog.
