Welcome back to my little spot in the cyber world. I hope y'all are having a good day. It's not too dang hot here today so I'm happy. They are talking in the mid 50's for the next few days. Go figure. Crazy weather.
The card I have to show today uses a cute little beastie from Dearie Dolls. Mary Ellen has some adorable images on her blog and the best part..they are all FREE!! Don't ya just love free?
This little girl is colored with BIC Markers and Glitter Pens. I tried to make her skin look scaly, but it didn't come out like I envisioned. She is matted on a panel of Hot Pink from Recollections and a Lime Green from Recollections. I used a Fiskars Scalloped Border Punch for the Green layer. The DP's are from Colorbok's Bright Collection. I added a piece of Offray Yellow Ribbon to finish off the card.
Thanks again for stopping in. Have a wonderful day. God bless.

World's Best Dad
Good day to y'all. We had some really bad thunderstorms last night. Some of the thunder shook the entire house. It was like the sky just opened up and poured buckets of rain. The winds were pretty bad too. It didn't cool things down too much but every little bit helps.
Today, I have a card that features a Birdie Brown image. This image is the monthly freebie challenge over at Birdie's blog.
This cute little Mr. Fix It reminds me of Dilbert. I colored him with my colored pencils and OMS and then cut him out. I printed the sentiment off of the computer. The card base and mat for the sentiment are from Colorbok. The brown card stock is Recollections. I used a Fiskars Shape Cutter to make the circles. The DP is from Colorbok's Earthtones.
Thanks for stopping by today. I truly appreciate it. God bless and have a wonderful day.

Dancing Queens
Hello there. Happy Hot Wednesday. Thanks for joining me today. I have a Rick St. Dennis image for y'all today. Don't ya just love his work? I do!
My goodness..these ladies are sure cuttin' a rug. I printed off the image onto Crafter's Companion card stock and colored it with my BIC Markers and Spectrum Noir Pens. I then trimmed it down and matted it on a deep purple. The dark purple DP was a freebie from Cardmaker Magazine and I matted those two panels on light purple. The background DP is from Colorbok. I put the whole thing on an Old Olive card base. I stamped the sentiment from Gina K in Versa Magic Plumeria ink. Adding a few purple gems from Queen and Co. finished off this card.
I hope y'all enjoyed the visit. Have a great night..God bless.

Howdy. Well, I did it. I turned on the a/c last night. I slept great. It was nice and cool in the bedroom. We still have to put the living room one in, but it's coming this weekend.
I appreciate you guys stopping by today. I have a cute card that will take you back to the 80's. Flashdance..remember that? Well, here ya go....
Isn't she cute? This image and background come from The Paper Shelter. I used the precoloured set to make this card. I printed the background then printed another girl the same size and cut her out. I then used pop dots to add her to the card. I printed out a sentiment from my computer and added it behind the popped up girl. I also cut out the boom box and added it with pop dots. Adding some gems around the edges finished up this card. Easy Peasy.
Thanks for stopping in today. God bless.

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs.
Shheeewww!!! It's hot here today. 88 degrees in May. This should not be happening. We have three ceiling fans and two smaller fans going and it's still hot. My husband is going to have to plug in the a/c tonight.
So, thanks for stopping by today. I have a wedding card for y'all today. My husband's cousin is getting married next month and I made this card for them, but it fits a couple of challenges too. I used a Beccy Muir image for this card and paper pieced the wedding dress, veil and tux.
I had this fancy cream colored paper in my stash and I'm not sure what I was hoarding it for, but it worked perfectly for her dress and veil. I used a SU Gray for the tux. The vest is the same paper as the dress. I used my Spectrum Noir to color in the couple.
I stamped the sentiment with Memento Espresso Truffle. It's a set from Inkadinkado called Marriage.
I used SU Basic Black for the card base. The DP is from Colorbok. I added a sheer silver ribbon and some pearls from Queen and Co. to finish it off.
Thanks so much for joining me today. I have a couple more to post so stay tuned. God bless.

DoodlePantry Monthly Challenge
Good Afternoon Friends. I hope everyone's week got off to a great start. School is less than a month from ending and I cannot wait. I am so done with this school year. I'm praying next year will be much better.
The card I have for y'all this post uses one of the cutest little birds I have ever seen. It is a Doodle Pantry pre-colored digi and background.
Isn't he just a cutie? I love the cornstalks too. I printed out the image and an extra farmer bird on GP card stock. I cut around the second bird and used pop dots to add him to the back ground. The background paper is from the same set. I matted everything on a Delightful Daffodil card stock from SU. The sentiment is from the set and matted on the same yellow card stock.
Thanks for stopping by to visit today. I will be back either tonight or tomorrow with some more eye candy for y'all. God bless.

Mother's Day Card
Howdy folks. I know it's past Mother's Day, but I didn't get this posted before. I made this card for my husband to give to his mom for Mother's Day.
I had made a Mother-in-Law card for her and my husband wanted one just from him. This image is from Imagine That and it's for the progressive freebie challenge for this month. I colored it with BIC markers after enlarging it to fit the whole card. I used a black card base and added a black printed DP. Adding a few gems from Queen and Co finished it off. Tim's mom loved all the cards she got this year, especially this one.
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope y'all have a wonderful night. God bless y'all.

Lady Bug Card
Howdy y'all. It's been pretty chilly here this week, so I thought I would make a card to try and bring back some beautiful Spring weather.
This cute card uses an image from the internet that I found a while ago.
I colored this little lady with BIC markers. I followed this week's sketch from My Favorite Things to make this card using papers from DCWV. I matted each paper and the image on a Blue card stock from Recollections. The card base is made from the same Blue card stock. Adding two square buttons from my stash finished up the card.
To create the inside of the card, I used the same papers and card stock, following the sketch pretty closely. I don't know why there is such a shadow on the right side of the picture, but there isn't a dark spot on the actual card.
Thanks for stopping by today. I truly appreciate the support. God bless y'all.

Without my Coffee
Hello my friends. Welcome back. Even though I haven't been posting, I have been creating. I have a card for y'all this time that uses a Digi Darla image.
I used my BIC markers to color in this image. I added some glitter to the cell phone and her coffee mug. The image was cut using my Cuttlebug and Nestabilities. The banners were hand cut. The black and white polka dot at the top is Washi Tape. I printed out the sentiment from my Word Processing program. The card base is Black from Recollections and the DP is DCWV All Girl stack. I pulled some pink card stock from my stash to make the two pink banners. All the papers and card stock were in my stash bin. I added some pink gems to finish it off.

Hello my friend card
Hello there my crafty friends. Thanks for stopping by to visit. I have been slacking about posting again, but I am trying to get all my health issues under control. It's going to be a long road, but I am going to make it. With God in control, I can't help but pull through.
I have a card today that uses an image from Anne Fenton and some more dyed flowers that I used the homemade alcohol inks on.
After printing out the image, I used colored pencils and OMS to add color. I trimmed down the image and matted it on a panel of Daffodil Delight from SU. I used three different patterned papers from DCWV All Girl stack. I used a card base from the Daffodil Delight and used Pink card stock from Recollections for the mats. The sentiment is from Desert Diva and is matted on two layers. All of the flowers were dyed with the homemade alcohol inks that I made. I added some brads to the middle of the smaller flowers and added some gems at the bottom to finish it off.
Thanks again for visiting me today. I hope y'all are enjoying your week. God bless y'all.

Big Girl Panties
Good Morning my friends. I hope your week is going good. I had a doctor's appt. yesterday and have finally discovered the reason behind my severe pain, exhaustion, and other issues. I have Fibromyalgia. But, I cannot take care of that until I get the PTSD under control because I can't be medicated when I go see the doctor. I have to be feeling all the emotional issues so that the doctor can prescribe the right combo of meds for the PTSD. Go figure. If it isn't one thing it's another..always. But, I do have my crafting to help keep me sane.
So, here's a cute card that I made for a couple of challenges.
When I saw this sentiment from Create with TLC, I knew I had to use it on a card. I love it! The little girl is from The Digi Garden. I used my Chromatix to color her in and the Fiskars Shape Maker to cut it out. I inked the edges of the image and sentiment with DI Vintage Photo. I followed a sketch from Feeling Sketchy to make this card. The card base is Old Olive from SU. The DP background is American Crafts and the DP pieces are DCWV. I added some gems from Queen and Co and the flower is one that I dyed using the homemade alcohol inks.
Thanks so much for stopping by today. I truly appreciate it. God bless y'all and have a great day!

Mother's Day Card
Howdy y'all. Welcome back to my blog. I have a card to show tonight that uses some of the roses and flowers that I dyed using my homemade alcohol inks. I used a Rick St. Dennis image to make this card and printed it out on a new card stock that I found at AC Moore. It's from Crafter's Companion, the company that makes the Spectrum Noir pens. I ran out of my Neenah and needed some card stock so I picked up two packs of 25 for $8.
So, what do you think? The roses and the small silk flowers are dyed with the homemade alcohol inks.
I colored the image with Chromatix pens. I trimmed down the image, matted it on a panel of pink and then a panel of black. The DPs are from Authentique and MME. The card base is made from Bazzill Blackbird card stock. The sentiment is from Beccy Muir and is included in the Rose Bouquet set. I had to add the main sentiment to the inside, because there just wasn't room on the front to add the Scripture from Proverbs 31.
I just kept adding embellies until I liked the look of it. There are pearls, lace, flowers, acetate flowers, acrylic sprays, pearl sprays. And for one of my challenges that I am entering this card in, I had to have ribbon. I couldn't add anything else to the card, so there is ribbon on the image itself. I hope that qualifies. It's a little sneaky, but the ribbon is there.
Thanks for stopping by today. I hope y'all have a great evening. God bless.

Cheap Tip #2--Making Your Own Glimmermist
Hey friends. Thanks for coming back. I have another cheap tip for y'all. I know that there are alot of You Tube videos out there on how to make your own Glimmer Mist. I met a lady in the Dollar Tree last week and we were talking in the scrapbook isle and she was telling me that she makes her own and proceeded to tell me how she did it. I thought, hey, this sounds easy enough so I tried it. I LOVE it!!
Here's what you will need:
A mister bottle of some sort. I found these for $1.99 each at AC Moore. They are actual Ranger bottles with a fine mist. I think they are 4 oz bottles. I bought two, but the one won't spray so I have to take it back.
Loose Powder Eyeshadow. I bought these at the Dollar Tree for $1 each. After making a bottle of each color, I still have enough shadow for at least two more refills each.
Rubbing Alcohol. If you want more information about the alcohol, see my post on making your own alcohol inks and there is some additional info.
So, are y'all ready for some of the simplest instructions ever?
Step 1: Pour the alcohol into your mister bottle leaving about 4 cm at the top.
Step 2: Open the shadow and dump some in. How much you put in will determine how much bling it sprays. I didn't measure mine, I just dumped it in.
Step 3: Shake well. Every time you go to use it you will have to shake the bottle very well. The shadow separates from the alcohol and settles on the bottom so make sure you shake well.
Here's what they each look like sprayed on black card stock: The first one is the Snow color. This one is just kind of irridescent. Not a whole lot of color, but tons of sparkle.
This one is the Sunglow. It's more of a gold color and is very sparkly.
Now, if you decide you want the actual colored spray, just take a few drops of alcohol inks, food coloring or even hair dye and mix it into the bottle. I didn't want any color, just the sparkle. The homemade alcohol inks will work also.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed learning something new. God bless y'all.
Here's the break down:
Alcohol--$0 already had it
Eyeshadow--$2
Bottles--$4
You end up with 8 oz of spray so that's $3.00 per bottle verses $7 per bottle of the name brand. Plus, it won't cost you anything to make refills because you will have all the products at home.
