QKR

It's a Blog Hop!!!

Thanks for joining me today.  We have a blog hop that starts today and will continue for 2 weeks.  We would love to have you join us.  There are tons of wonderful projects on each of the DT blogs.  If you scroll down, you will see an order list for visiting the blogs.

If you have come here from Zoe's blog, you are on the right track.  Make sure you started at the QKR Stampede blog.  If you haven't, go back and start at the beginning.  You don't want to miss anything.

There will be 4 prizes given away at the end of the two weeks.  2 winners will be chosen from QKR Stampede and 2 winners from Eureka.  Each winner will win 2 images of their choice from the store.

In order to win one of the prizes there are 3 rules: You much comment on each blog, you must use a QKR Stampede or Eureka image, and you only have until September 12th  to enter your project.  The only other rule we have is to have fun and enjoy some eye candy as you hop along.

I used this sweet image called Summer Treat and it's digi #14102 in the QKR Stampede store.

I colored this image with the new Spectrum Noir Pencils.  Oh my, how I love them.  I had been using Crayola for so long, it's nice to use a better quality. I would compare them then the Prismacolor pencils. I have a few Prisma's and the Spectrum Noirs are just as good in quality.

I used cardstock from Stampin' Up and Recollections and paper from DCWV.  The sentiment is from Jillibean Soup.

Here's the blog hop list:

Thanks for joining me today.  I hope y'all enjoy the hop and have a great day!

New Challenge at MFP Simple Salutations

Good Morning.  Thank you for joining us at Simple Salutations this week.  We have a great theme this week.  Since school has already started for some and will be starting in the next few days for others, we have decided on at "FAVORITE SCHOOL SUBJECT" theme.

You have a chance to win the "I'm in Stitches" stamp set this week.  This is the stamp set that I used for my card because my Favorite Subject in school was Home Ec.  Next to History, this was my favorite.  All the sewing, cooking, child care and finances we learned just made my day.

I'm In Stitches Stamp Set

I learned to sew on a machine like this.  The first memory I have of crafting is my Grandmother teaching me to sew clothes for my Barbies.  She had a Singer sewing machine just like this.  It had a pedal that sat on the floor and if you weren't careful, your finger would find it's way under the needle.  Thank God I never did that.

We can't wait to see what y'all create for this challenge.  We really would love for y'all to join us.

Have a wonderful day and God bless!

Meet Harriet the Witch from Crafty Sentiments.  She looks ready to ride in her purple outfit.  I love the way her hair is flowing out behind her.  She doesn't have a care in the world.

Thanks for joining us today.  If you entered a card last week, please make sure to check the blog t see if you are winner.

Have a wonderful day and God bless!

Melonheadz Challenge--Back to School

         BACK TO SCHOOL CHALLENGE

Hi everyone.  Welcome back to our new challenge.  Hope y'all had a good couple of weeks.  We had some phenomenal entries into  our last challenge, "Flowers".

Make sure to check the blog to see if you are a winner or Top 3.
Just a quick reminder of the rules---You aren't required to use an image from Melonheadz, but we love it when you do and you can enter as many times as you like.  If you do not use a Melonheadz image, you are limited to 2 entries.

Our challenge runs for about two weeks so you have until August 31st at 11:55 EDT to enter.  The random winner will receive one (1) bundle of your choice from the Melonheadz Etsy Shop.

Our challenge this round is to create a card, scrapbook page or other project that shows "Back to School."  There are lots of cute images that fit this theme in the store and you can even find some freebies on the blog.

When I saw this too cute bundle I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it.  I enlarged the backpack to 5x6 and made the card base out of it.  I then printed out the sentiment and used foam squares to adhere it to the front.  I like the way it turned out and I think I'm going to put this in my daughter's room for her the night before school starts.

Thank you for stopping by today.   I hope y'all have a great day.  God bless.

I found these cute gemstone snowflakes in my Christmas basket.  I don't have a clue how long ago I bought these, but I did manage to use up some stash making this card.
