I love this all pink card.  I also want to thank my design team sister Carol Mathrick for my fabulous new watermark.

Challenge #9 Clear it Out

Good Morning, friends.  How is everyone today?  My husband decided to get the entire house sick..thanks, babe.  I am a bit late posting this card. I should have had it up this morning, but things happen.

Our challenge this week is sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps.  They have some of the cutest, quirkiest images around.

The stash: Buttons.  The theme: Thank You.

I chose Kidz Girl-Hot Air Balloon to create this card. I decided to use pinks and grays as my color combo.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope y'all have a great day and God bless.

Melonheadz Friends Monda

Happy Monday!  Today is the start of Melonheadz Friends new challenge.  This is our last challenge for this year.  This is sad, but I am looking forward to 2014 and all the wonderful things this new year is going to bring.

Our challenge is: Anything Goes.  I always love these challenges.

I chose to use the "Pink Pirate" Bundle from Nikki's store.  I colored all the images with my BIC Markers and fussy cut everything out.  I used a black sharpie to go around all the edges to hide the white edges. I added some glitter gel pen in Clear Star for some glitter...a girl has to bling it up, right?  I used three different papers from Recollections All Girl stack. The Black card stock is from Recollections and some of the images are adhered using pop dots.  The sentiment is from a Studio G stamp, inked up in Primrose Petals SU ink.

I hope y'all like this cute little pirate.  I am going to save this card for my daughter's birthday in May. She loves pink and black, so she will like it.  Maybe I'll see one of your cards entered into the new challenge this week.

Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.  God bless y'all.

Super Saturday with Paper A La Mode

Welcome to another challenge with Paper A La Mode on the Outlawz ning site.  If you haven't checked us out, please go here.  Now, you do have to sign up to be part of the site, but once you do, you have access to all the challenges.

Our challenge this week is from Debbie and she chose Snowmen as our theme.  We also have started having sponsors on our little group and this week our fab sponsor is Sherry from A Random Fan Digi Stamps.  The prize?? 2 images from her store.  Just like the rest of the Outlawz groups, we pick winners on a monthly basis.  So, if you win this week's challenge, you will receive your images the first of December.

Here's what I came up with....

This is the front of the card.  I used two The Paper Studio punches to create the window.  The papers are from Recollections. (That cute little snowman you can see through the window, part of a piece of patterned paper.)  The stamp on the front is a Studio G and I used some Sakura Glitter pens on him and added three blue gems for buttons.  The snowflakes are from a pack of table decorations that I got at the Dollar Store a couple years ago and I just added some gems onto them.  I added some glitter pen to a few of the snowflakes on the patterned paper too.

Here's the inside:

I kept the punched out pieces of the front and used them for a sentiment mat on the inside.  I stamped in Memento Bahama Blue ink and used a stamp from my collection.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope you will decide to join us at Paper A La  Mode.  Maybe you will be our weekly winner.

Next week our sponsor is Rick St. Dennis...y'all know how much I love his work...yeah..RSD..

Hogs and Kisses

Good evening my friends.  I hope y'all's Thursday was a good one.  Tomorrow is Friday and since I am leaving for VA, I am posting the last of my challenge cards tonight. I won't post again until Monday, so I hope y'all have a great weekend.

This first card is a cutie.  At least I think so.  This one is for all my country girlfriends out there.  Even if you ain't the least bit country, y'all have to find this card cuter than a bug's ear.

See, I told ya.  Cute as a pigs ear, right?  This adorable little guy is from Doodle Pantry.  I love the stamps you can find there.  I think I'm hooked.  My digi file folder is overflowing.

Putting this card together was very simple.  It looks like alot, but it's actually not.  One DP, two CS , some coloring and a little fussy cutting.  That's it.  The DP is Studio G from last year.  To get the swirls and little hearts, I just cut them out of scraps of the DP and colored them with a light pink BIC Marker and added glitter gel pen.  I used a black card base from SU, a piece of pink and white DP as a small mat and printed my image on Gina K White.   And of course, cutie is colored with my colored pencils and OMS.

Thanks so much for stoppin' in today.  I hope y'all have a great night.  God bless.

Do You Love Me?

So, we are now on card #6.  I am actually getting tired. Imagine that.  Hopefully I will make it through the other 5 before I crash.

We are in a Valentine's theme so this one follows right along.  It's a darling image.

See, I told you he was cute.  I used my colored pencils and OMS to color this little guy.  He's looking kinda worried that you won't check the yes box, isn't he?  This image is from QKR Stampede.  I used Gina K heavy base weight White for the card base.  The black card stock that you can see on the left side, just peeking out is from Recollections.  The DP is from last Valentine's Day and is designed by Studio G.  I stocked up afterwards when all the Valentine's products went on sale at Walmart.  I used my Fiskar's border punch and made a lacy square because I don't have that set of Nestabilities yet.  Key word being "yet".  I punched the white strip too.  The three little hearts in the upper right hand corner I cut out of the patterned paper.  Because the image is do detailed and involved, I didn't think it needed alot of extras.

Thanks for hanging in there with me as I update my blog.  I truly appreciate all the sweet comments y'all leave.  I read each and every one.  I love the feedback that I get from them.

I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday.  God bless.

QKR Stampede--#24  Love is in the Air
Tuesday Alchemy--#49 Anything Goes

Flowers and Pearls

Welcome back. :).  Don't get tired on me yet.  We still have a ways to go.

Today's card is for a new challenge blog that I found and wanted to give it a try.  I don't really do Gothic or weird, but I have a few stamps that I think might work for some of the challenges over on Forever Night Creepy Challenge.  This is a UK based blog.  I want to try and stretch my ability this year, so I thought this blog would be a good start.

This card uses a Zonae Coloring Pages design from the Bratz collection.  I thought she looked pretty Goth to me.

I used my trusty colored pencils and OMS to color the image and then cut her out.  The sentiment is from Netty's Cards.  I used SU and GP card stock.  The DP is from Samantha Walker and Studio G.  I added some flowers from Recollections and flat back pearls from Queen and Co. to finish off the card.

I don't think it's too far out in left field for me.  But, it did challenge me coloring in mostly black as I love color.

Let me know what you think about my little Goth girl.  I would love to know what you think.  God bless.

Just Married

Hello Friends.  I found another challenge site.  That puts me up to about 25 per week.  I'm addicted.  It's sad.  I think I really need some kind of 12 Step Program.  Maybe I will start one for us peep who are addicted to card making. I will call it the 12 Step Challenge. LOL.  I think it sounds pretty good.  Maybe our first challenge will be Step 1: Use 1 flower. HAHAHA!! What do you think? Sounds like a plan doesn't it?  Each challenge will be a new step.  Step 2: Use 2 patterned papers.  Step 3: Use 3 rhinestones.  ETC.  Yeah, I have completely lost my mind.  On to my next card.

This one was really fast and easy.  I loved the sketch that we were challenged to use over on Seems a Little Sketchy.  It was pretty CAS, but I added to it.  You know I can't stop with one or two embellies.  I love all the "stuff."

The stamp I used was a little one from Studio G that I picked up in the dollar bin at Michael's.  I love those little dollar stamps.  Some of them are very cute. You can even combine alot of them together to make different focal images. I stamped the image and sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black.  I used my Spellbinders to cut out the image and emboss it, then used a Scalloped Circle for the backing.  The sentiment I cut out with my EK Success Label punch.   I used Whisper White from SU for the card base.  It's a little smaller than usual, only 4.5x4.5, but with such a small image, it fit better being smaller.  The black layer is 4x4 and is Basic Black from SU.  The red layer is 3.75x3.75 and is from Recollections.  The DP is DCWV and is cut to 3.5x3.5.  I used pop dots to adhere the sentiment and added three flat back pearls from Queen and Co on it.  There are three cream colored flat back pearls in the top right hand corner, but they look gray in the picture.  I figure I can use this card for my BIL and soon to be SIL in September for their wedding.  As soon as she decides what her colors are going to be, I am going to start on making a photo album for her.  I wish she would decide so that I can get started.

I sincerely thank you for stopping by today.  Let me know what you think about my 12 Step Challenge.  I want to see how many people need the program..hehe  Have a wonderful day and God bless you.

Mojo Monday #277

I have come to the conclusion that I just love the Mojo Monday site.  They have some very talented ladies over there who come up with these wonderful sketches.  If you haven't already checked them out, I suggest that you do.  You won't regret it!

Today's card is a very CAS card that follows Sketch 277 on the Mojo blog.  I wasn't sure what I was doing to do when I saw the sketch.  CAS isn't one of my strong suits, but I have been trying to get them right.  I think I did OK with this one.

I used a piece of paper from Studio G's Valentine's line that they had out last year.  Yep, still trying to use up all my old stuff.  I cut it down to 2"x2.5"  I made sure to get the butterfly on the piece.  The stamp set is a little Valentine's/Love stamp from Studio G that I got at AC Moore last year.  I stamped in Classic Red by TCP.  I matted the image on a piece of dark red card stock from Recollections.  The mat is 2.25"x2.75".  I adhered them to the middle of the white card base which is from SU.  For embellishments, I added two red buttons and a pink one with glue dots.  I found this flower in the bottom of my stash pile of flowers and loved the way it looked.

I hope you enjoyed your visit today.  Stay tuned for some new challenge blogs and new cards.  Thank you and God bless you.
