Good Saturday Morning.  I hope all is well out there in blogland.  It seems that I finally caught the ick that the rest of my household had earlier this month (January).  It is nasty.

Our new challenge for this round is "Show Some Love".  That leaves alot to interpretation, doesn't it?
We have some great sponsors too.

You Have My Heart

Hello there my friends.  How is everyone today?  We are getting better here.  My hubby is feeling much better, my daughter still has her seal bark cough, but is feeling better.  Thank God.  The only person not getting better is my wonderful father-in-law.  He was hospitalized on Sunday for pneumonia, but it's getting worse and now they think he may have a blood clot in his lung.  They had to increase his oxygen and are trying to find some new medication to help.  His sugar is really high too.  So, as soon as he gets better, maybe all this illness in our family will be a thing of the past. :)  I'm praying.

Today's card uses a Pollycraft image and the bi-weekly challenge from Little Miss Muffet.  This challenge is a sketch challenge:

When Pollycraft went out of business last year, they had a sale for all of the images for like $30.  I bought them all. :)  Isn't she cute.  I thought she would make a perfect Valentine's Day card.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I pray y'all have a wonderful day.  God bless.

Isn't he a cute little sick bear.  And it fits so well with my husband because all he's been able to eat for the past few days is soup.

Christmas Card #2 for 2014

Hello friends.  Yep, you read the title of this post correctly.  I am making Christmas cards in January. I am going to be ready to mail out cards on December 1st this year.  No more waiting til the last minute.  So, hopefully I can use up alot of my Christmas products this year and be able to buy new when they come out. :)  Seems like a great goal right?

This card was made using product that came free with my Make Christmas Cards Bumper Pack magazine.  This is a magazine that is printed in the UK.  I buy mine at Jo-Ann's each month and it always comes with freebies.  This one came with two stamp sets, lots of paper and tons of cut outs.  I love this magazine.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope y'all are having a great day.  God bless y'all.

DS4J Challenge #83

Hello friends.  Thanks for stopping by today.   2014 was supposed to be a great year.  Yeah, not so much.  Tim is still very sick.  I took him to the doctor on Thursday.  He was diagnosed with borderline pneumonia.  3 days later and 3 prescriptions later and he is worse.  I am calling the doctor tomorrow morning to see what our next step is.  Kierstynne has a horrible seal bark cough.  It's all in her chest.  I have to make her an appointment.  I feel ok.  I have a cough, but nothing like those two.  My FIL was admitted to the hospital today with pneumonia.  He got sick after Tim and went down hill really quick.  One of his lungs is completely full.  He has to have another chest x-ray in a week because they think he may have a touch of COPD from all his years of smoking. He quit in 1999 but I guess the damage is catching up with him.  So, for those of you who believe in the power of prayer, please lift our family up.  We need all the prayers we can get.  OK, my venting is done. Let's see what kind of eye candy we have today. :)

I used Marie Antoinette Misteri to create this card for the new DS4J Glitter and Sparkle challenge.  I love the way this one turned out.  I am just starting to make cards with the elements that hang off the side.  With my OCD, it's hard for me to do that. But, I'm trying.

Thank you again for stopping by today.  I truly appreciate it.  I hope y'all have a great day and God bless.

Psalm 51:10

Welcome friends.  This may be my last post for the day...it all depends on what I get done for the rest of the night.

I participated in the Word Art Wednesday challenges quite a bit last year.  I really slacked off on challenges the latter part of last year and I wanted to get back in to doing them.  I love the Scripture Art that you can receive free every week.

I love purples, so I decided since I have been on a pick kick that I would shift gears and use some purple.  I used quite a few different shades of purple for this card.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope I haven't made your eyes bleed with all these posts. :)  If you have any questions, please leave me a comment.  You can just leave a comment for me even if you don't have a question.  I love reading them.  Have a wonderful weekend and God bless y'all.

You Strike My Fancy

Howdy ho neighbors.  Do you guys remember Mr. Roger's Neighborhood?  I loved that show when I was a kid.  I wish they would show reruns of that and Captain Kangaroo.  Those were my two favorites when I was young.  Kierstynne would get a kick out of them.

Today's card follows the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.  I'm not too good at clean and simple cards.  I have noticed that most of the winners and the projects the DT makes are all CAS.  So, I thought I would give it a whirl.

I used a set of digi stamps from Sweet and Sassy to make this card.  It took me about 10 minutes to make this one.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope y'all have been able to spend lots of time in your craft rooms this week.  Have a wonderful day and God bless y'all.

If you have any questions, please leave me a comment. :)

Toad-ally Wild

Welcome, welcome.  I'm so glad to see ya today. It's still cold here.  Yet, tomorrow it's supposed to in the 60's.  It snowed a bit here last night.  No wonder everyone is sick.  This dang weather has no idea what it wants to do.

I love frogs, so when I saw the challenge at Robyn's Fetish this week, I knew I had to use her frog image.  I also decided to play along with My Favorite Things this week and follow the sketch challenge.

I just love this image.  Don't they look like a bunch of wild guys?  I have an uncle who we call Uncle Frog, nicknamed as a child because he was always coming home with frogs in his pockets, so I may save this one for his birthday.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I know I have been posting alot lately, but I've been in craft frenzy this week.  Have a wonderful day and God bless.

Melonheadz Friends Christmas Challenge

Hello my crafty friends.  I am a bit late posting this card.  I should have had it up on Monday, but I awoke with a migraine and didn't do anything.  That, of course, put me way behind on everything.

This fortnight challenge at Melonheadz Friends is a "Christmas Challenge".  Create anything with a Christmas theme.

Just a quick reminder of our rules - you are not required to use an image from MELONHEADZ ETSY SHOP, but if you do, you can enter as many times as you like and your theme will be anything goes.  If you choose not to use an image from Melonheadz, that is fine too, but then you must follow the challenge theme and are allowed 2 entries per person.

I chose to use a precolored digi set for this card.  I used

the "Gingerbread" set.

I printed out the images on Neenah Solar White card

stock and fussy cut them out.  I used two patterned

papers from DCWV, gems from Queen and Co.  and a

ribbon bow from my stash.  The card base is an Olive

Green from Colorbok.

I hope that we will see y'all for this wide open

challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope y'all have a

great day.  God bless.

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge

Welcome back to my little piece of the world.  It's been pretty chilly here in NE PA.  I am so not ready for winter.  I hate snow.  Yep, that's right.  I said it. I live in Pennsylvania and I hate snow.  Thank God I don't live in one of those places where it snows in feet and not inches.  I wouldn't know what to do.

So, that being said, I made a winter card for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week.

It's a very CAS card.  I don't make these too often, but the sketch just called for one.  It's a bit hard to see, but I used some Summer Sky Memento Ink and stamped random snowflakes on the bottom part of the card.  I used the same stamp and ink and added some snowflakes to the sentiment.  The two papers are from DCWV Dots 6x6 paper pad.  I used a Fiskars punch for the sentiment and it's from a set of stamps that I first got when I started stamping, so I'm not sure who designed it.  Adding three light blue rhinestones finished off this quick and easy card.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope y'all have a great night/day!  God bless.
