So, on to the challenge.  This week our challenge is "SPECIAL LADY" and our Sponsor is Rick St. Dennis.

I love that Rick created a line of images that showcase women who aren't a size 2.  They are so fancy.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope y'all have a wonderful day.  Today is Kierstynne's birthday party. My baby is turning 10 years old tomorrow.  Where have these last 10 years gone?  God bless y'all.

OMCF #10

Good morning.  Thanks for joining me today.  I truly appreciate the time that y'all take to check out what I have been doing.

This week starts a new challenge at Open Minded Crafting Fun.  Challenge #10 already.  We've been been having a ball with our challenge blog.  We've had some wonderful entries in the past 9 challenges. Thank you for helping to make our challenges fantastic.

Our challenge for #10 is "USE SOME RIBBON". Seems pretty easy, right?

We have some wonderful sponsors this challenge too.

Make sure to take a second or two and check out these sponsor's sites.  You will find some wonderful images there.

I used a Doodle Pantry image to create my card.

This image is "Vintage Phone" and I like it.  My grandmother had a phone like this in her house when I was a child.  I remember it well.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope y'all have a wonderful day.  God bless.

QKR Stampede Challenge #87

Hello there.  Thank God it's Friday.  This Sunday is Mother's Day and I get to share the day with my daughter in a special way.  It's her 10th birthday. Man, where did the past 10 years go?  It was just this past Tuesday that I gave birth to her.  These past 10 years have been amazing.  I have watched her grow, learn, and develop into and amazing young lady.  I look forward to the next 10 years.

Since it's Friday, we have a new challenge over at QKR Stampede.  This week our challenge is an ANYTHING GOES with a TWIST.  The twist is Gems/Rhinestones.

I love this woman.  She is hysterical.  I can just see my mom in a few years like this.

Remember that we have two winners plus a top 5 each week.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope y'all have a great weekend.  God bless y'all.

The Stamps of Life Cards

Hello there.  Today I have three cards to show.  I have fallen in love with The Stamps of Life stamps by Stephanie Barnard.  I have joined the Die Hard Club over at The Stamps of Life.  That means that I not only get the new stamp for the month, but a coordinating die set too.  I love them.  All of the dies are made by Sizzix just for Stephanie's stamps.

The first card uses the sets Froggy2Love and Sayings4froggy.

This set comes with an outline image of the frog as well as a full color image.  I stamped the full color image first with Memento Bamboo Leaves and then used the outline stamp on top with Memento Tuxedo Black.  The lily pad is done with Distress Ink Peeled Paint.  As you can see, I used the die set that coordinates.  The sentiment is from the Sayings4Froggy set.

I am entering this card in the Hiding in My Craftroom challenge "Critters".

This cute set of boots comes in the boots4rain set and the zebra striped part is in the patterns4boots set.  I stamped the outline image first in Memento Tuxedo Black and then added the pattern in Primrose Petals from SU. The raindrops are in the stamp set as is the rain puddle, which I created using three different shades of blue Distress Ink.

This is my first "Card in a Box" card.  It looked hard to me at first, but it's really not.  I love the way it turned out.  This set, called crazy4daisy, was a monthly club set and came with the dies.  I wanted a more defined look, so I hand cut the flowers.  The butterflies are a Martha Stewart punch and I used Spellbinders Petite Scalloped Circles to make the layers. I really love the way this one came out.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I truly appreciate the time y'all take to come see me.  Have a wonderful day and God bless.

Simple Salutations at Mark's Finest Papers Challenge #96

Good Morning friends and followers.  So happy to see y'all have taken a moment of your precious time to come visit me.  I truly appreciate it from the bottom of my heart.

Today is a good day to visit because today is not only Hump Day  Woot! it's the start of a new challenge at Simple Salutations at the Mark's Finest Papers ning site.

This week our challenge is to create a MOTHER's DAY card.  Now, don't fear.  Those of you who no longer have your mothers can create a card for a Special Lady in your life.  We all have those don't we?

This pretty card uses one of the new stamps just released this month.  It's called "Oriental Joy".  I love this butterfly and circle frame.  It's beautiful.  If you want to see the rest of May's releases, please stay tuned for my next post...I will showcase them all.

Thanks so much for looking at my card for today.  Have a wonderful day and God bless y'all.

Penny's Paper Challenge #176

Good Morning.. It's Hump Day..Whoot!   Yep, y'all know I just had to say that. :)  So, that being said, let's jump right into our new challenge.

Penny's new challenge is  2 or more patterned papers.  I love those kinds of challenges, don't y'all?

Our sponsor this week is:
the somewhat cute somewhat quirky Q K R Stampede rubber stamp company Rubber Stamps, Gold Leaf, Foil, and Glass Beads for Stampin, Scrapbooks, Card Making, and Paper Crafts

I just love their images.  They are so cute!

I couldn't resist this sentiment when I saw they lady golfer image.  My husband plays golf and has tried to explain the whole eagle/birdie/over/under-par thingy and it's all greek to me.  I guess we all have our thing and golf definitely isn't mine.  Now, give some Putt Putt and we got it goin' on. :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope y'all had a good visit.  Have a blessed day y'all.

Today is May 6, 2014

Wow.  It's been a long road.  I never would have guessed, as I walked down the aisle, 14 years ago today, how different my life would become.

Fourteen years ago.  I was 27 years old.  I had moved 400 miles away from home to marry a man I had met one year prior.  I was a widow who was embarking on a new journey that I never thought I would take. I was in love.

Fourteen years ago at 3pm in the afternoon I married Timothy Thubbron and began a roller coaster ride of a life.  It has definitely had it's ups and downs.  It's even had a few curves and twists that I never saw coming.  But, we've managed to stick it out through all of them.   We have had some bad times, some tough times but lots of good times.

In 14 years we have endured Y2K,  2 presidents, the 911 attacks, the resulting 911 wars, 4 governors of PA.  We saw Wikipedia launched, the world's first space visitor, the world's first cyborg, the Space Shuttle Columbia disaster, Hurricane Katrina, Youtube, Facebook, My Space, Twitter, Skype, Pluto was reduced from a planet to a star.  We have seen many of our friends and family get married, get divorced, have children and pass away.

In the last 14 years we have grown as people.  Some good, some not so good.  But the best thing about the past 14 years?  Going through it all with Tim.

Happy Anniversary, honey.  I love you and I look forward to the next 14.

Simple Salutations at Mark's Finest Papers

Hello!  Thanks for joining me for another challenge at Simple Salutations at Mark's Finest Papers.  We are so happy you did.

This week our theme is "TAGS".  We want to see a tag or two on your cards.

Your prize for winning this week?

Isn't this a great set.  I love it.

I didn't put my tag on a card, but I probably will go back and do that.  I used two different MFP sets to make this card, and some washi tape.  Still haven't totally gotten the hang of washi yet, but I'm getting there.

Thanks for taking a few moments to come see me.  I appreciate it from the bottom of my heart.  I pray y'all have a great day and God bless.

Penny's Challenge #175

Hello friends.  Thanks for stopping by today.  I am so glad you did.  I have some news.  I quit smoking 6 days ago.  It's going pretty well.  I have had a couple of cravings, but I go find something else to do when they hit and after about 5 minutes I'm ok.  The only time that I really miss them is right after eating a meal.  I don't know why the urge strikes me then, but it does.  So, 6 days and counting. :)

Since it's Wednesday, we have a new challenge starting over at  Penny's.  This round, the theme is "PASTELS".  And our wonderful sponsors this week are:

with a prize of 5 digi images for the winner

with a prize of 4 images for the winner

I used Sassy Studio Designs to create my card.  I love these sassy images.  It's a good thing I don't have to pick a favorite digi designer.  I would be in serious trouble.  There are so many that I like.  And the cool thing about being an design teams is that you get to sample them all..:)

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope y'all have a wonderful day and God bless!

The Crafter's Cafe Challenge Steampunk

Good Morning friends.  Today being Wednesday, that means not only is it Hump Day but it's a new challenge at Crafter's Cafe.  Our theme this week is
"STEAMPUNK".  I am truly not a steampunk designer. I can color steampunk images, but do not have the elements to create the card.  I used what I had and this is how it turned out.

I am not thrilled with it, but it works.  I used a combination of quite a few products on this card.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope y'all have a great day.  God bless.
