This card uses the weekly freebie from PCW.  Each week for Dessert Fridaze you will receive a free image or you can use one you already have.  This little fun guy is too cute...

I used my colored pencils for this image.  I used my Nestabilities to cut him out and make the scalloped mat.  The DP is from DCWV and the card base is GP #110 white card stock.  The sketch for this card is very clean and simple.

Rainbows

Howdy y'all.  Thanks for stopping in tonight.  I hope y'all enjoy your visit.

I actually made a card that has no stamping at all.  I printed out the sentiment from my Word Processor and used pop dots to adhere it to the card.  

I pulled some rainbow colored papers and card stock from my stash bins and used a Fiskars Scalloped Border punch to make the layers.  I just adhered them according to the ROY G BIV form on the card.  I added a piece of wide rainbow trim to to the top, punched out some mini 5 petal flowers and added them to the top with clear gem centers.  That's it.  Very easy.  The hardest part of the whole card was punching the borders.

Dancing in the Rain

Welcome back friends.  I have another card for you tonight.  I chose a cute bear image from QKR Stampede to make this card.  

After coloring him with Spectrum Noir, I cut him out and used pop dots to adhere him.

I made the card base from Yellow Recollections card stock.  The DP is from Colorbok and ATD.  I used Fiskars Zings for the raindrops.  These are normally for cell phones, iPods, etc. but they work great for cards and scrapbooks too.  

I couldn't think of a good sentiment nor could I find one in my files, so I will put a sentiment on the inside.

Penguin Birthday

Hello there my friends.  I'm sorry for the span between posts.  I have been struggling with severe depression and just haven't felt like posting.  I have medication, but I think I have become immune and my doctor isn't in the office this week.  But, I'm here tonight to post some of things I have been working on.

This birthday card showcases an image from Just Some Lines.

I colored this little guy with BIC markers and used my Martha Stewart circle cutter to die cut him.  I attached him to a large lacy circle from my stash.  The card base is DCWV Red as is the mat for the sentiment.  I used a double sided DP from ATD for the back ground.  Adding some colorful gems from Queen and company finished this card off.

Hey there.  Thanks for looking in.  This is going to be a fast post..he he  The image and sentiment are from Imagine That and is their Progressive Challenge #4.

What a cool image for all those racing fans out there and even those little guys who dream of being a race car driver when they grow up. 

I started by printing out the image on Neenah.  I colored it with BIC markers and cut it out.  I used 3 DPs, two from Colorbok and one from DCWV.  I matted both the Diamond Plate and the Tire paper on a panel of white.  The BG paper is diamond plate blue.  The card base is Basic Black (SU).  The sentiment goes with the set and was emailed to all those who participated in the last challenge.  I printed it out and matted it on a small piece of red card stock.

Welcome back to my blog where creative things happen.  I've been pretty creative today.  It's been dreary and with nothing on the schedule for a change, I got to play.

I have a card that uses a Dearie Dolls image.  That is one talented lady, that Mary Ellen is.  She creates the cutest images.

To begin, I printed out the image and sentiment on Neenah card stock and used BIC markers to color in the image.  I used some glitter gel pens in green and purple to color in the butterflies.  

The card base is Old Olive (SU).  I used a Nestabilities circle die to cut out the image and sentiment.  I matted the image onto a square of Old Olive card stock.  The DP is from Cardmaking Magazine and was a freebie.  The green striped DP and the purple card stock are from my stash.

White on White

Thanks for joining me for another card creation.  This one made me step outside my comfort zone and do something I don't usually do..white on white.  I love color and design so a plain card is hard for me.

To make this card I pulled out some white card stock and cut two panels.  I ran one through the Darice Butterfly Corner EF and the other through the Argyle EF.  I used my glitter gel pens to add some color to the butterflies.  I tied a piece of sheer white ribbon around the card front and added the sentiment from Dee's Bugaboo Boutique.  Quick, fast and sweet.  I like the way it turned out, but I don't think I'm ready to jump on the white band wagon just yet.

Your Pad or Mine

Hoppy Saturday friends.  I have another card for y'all this afternoon.  I picked an image from Anne Fenton to make this card.  This is Frieda.

She's sittin' on her pad waiting for her man.  She's all dressed and fabulous.  I used my Chromatix pens to add the color to this image which was printed on Neenah card stock. I trimmed it down and matted the image on a panel of Basic Black card stock (SU).  For the background, I trimmed down two DPs from DCWV to 2.5" squares.  I matted them on the same black card stock and added them to a card base made from green Colorbok card stock.  I hand wrote the sentiment and matted it on the black card stock.  In order to follow the sketch from I {heart} Sketches, I took a black sharpie and added dot circles to the corners of the red panels.

Teapot Tuesday #246

Howdy.  I'm bbbaaaccckkkk!!!  LOL.  I have a few more cards to showcase for y'all today.  I've been a busy little beaver this morning.  My husband is off today so he's been sleeping in the chair and I've been crafting.

I pulled out a couple of my older stamps..yes, I actually stamped the images instead of using a digi.  These beautiful images are from Blue Ridge Impressions.  They are a stamp company in Virginia that I found by accident a couple years ago.  They have some of the most beautiful images and lots and lots of Scripture.  You can't place an order online, but you can fax your order, send by mail, or call in your order.

I made this card for this week's Teapot Tuesday on SCS.  Our tea party is in Missouri this week.  We are going to visit David.  He was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer a couple years ago and isn't doing well.  To read more about his story and this week's Tea Party, click Here on Tuesday 4-16.  I am one of the cheaters who get's the email early so I can get my card made and mailed by Tuesday.  We would love to have you join in our Tea Parties.

I made a card base out of dark blue card stock from Recollections.  I found two DPs in my stash that were orange and blue, the University of Missouri's colors, which is where David went to school.  I distressed the edges of the mat to make it a little more masculine.  I stamped the word image and then the boat image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I used my colored pencils to color in the image.  I chalked the background with blue chalk and highlighted the word JESUS with yellow (The Son).  I matted the image on a panel of Chocolate Chip card stock (SU) and then adhered it to the card.  I added some dark blue gems to finish it off.

Hello

Happy Saturday friends.  I just got home from a wonderful pancake breakfast sponsored by our local chapter of CMA (Christian Motorcycle Association).  My FIL is a member and my husband and I will be members soon.  It was all you could eat pancakes, sausage, eggs and the best home fries I have ever eaten.  Thanks CMA..

So, on the card for today.  I used the Kenny K image, All That. I decided on a color scheme of pink, green and brown.

I made this into an easel card but did it a little different.  I trimmed 1/2" off of each side of the front. When you lay it down, you can see the DP on the inside just a bit.  I didn't get a picture of it closed because the centers of the flowers were still wet.

This is my first card for the new DT that I was selected for..The Outlawz Paper Ala Mode challenge.  Thanks so much Colleen for choosing me to be on your wonderful DT.   Our challenges post every Saturday on The Outlawz and our challenge for this week is an Anything Goes Challenge.

To begin, I printed off the image on Neenah white card stock and colored her with Spectrum Noir and Chromatix Pens.  I trimmed down the image and matted it onto  Old Olive (SU), Pink (HOTP) and Chocolate Chip (SU) mats.  All of the DP, flowers, and ribbon came from my stash so I'm not sure who the designers are.  I had this cute wooden tag in my stash from my friend, Jan, so I decided to stamp the word HELLO in Stazon Jet Black ink and add it to the card.

You Make Me Smile

Good Morning and welcome back to Em's Many Thoughts.  I have really been slacking in that department.  I started this blog a couple years ago to post some of the strange thoughts that go racing though my mind at any given time, but over the year it has progressed into  a craft blog.  Not a bad progression, just a somewhat off kilter one.  But, I'm glad that you have chosen to follow me (for all those wonderful friends who do) and those who just stop in periodically to see what I'm up too.  I truly appreciate it and love the wonderful comments that you leave.  I read each and every one.

So, on to the card for today.  This card is for the A Day 4 Daisies challenge for this week and uses one of their images.  I colored the image with BIC markers and then applied Glossy Accents to the balloons.  After it dried, I cut around the balloons so that I could pop them up.  I rounded the corners and matted the image on an Old Olive card base.

I used two different DPs, one from ATD and one from DCWV.  I matted them on a light blue card stock from Colorbok.  The sentiment and swirly lines are from a rub on pack that I bought years ago from Paper Wishes.  I matted the sentiment on the same Old Olive card stock.  Adding some little red gems finished off the card.

Welcome back friends.  I sure hope you are enjoying your day.

The card showcased here today uses an image from Melonheadz.  It's called Baking Mom.  I printed out the image on Neenah card stock and colored it in with Chromatix pens.

Do you remember baking cookies with your mom or grandma?  I sure do.  Every year about two to three weeks before Christmas my mom would start baking the cookies.  My favorite was the homemade chocolate chip.  There is nothing better than sneaking a bit of the dough before it's cooked.  Yummy!

I started by making a card base from Chocolate Chip card stock (SU).  I added a panel of pink card  stock from Recollections.  For the DP, I took the HOTP Yummy Kitchen stamp set and chose the Cookie Jar, Spatula, Wooden Spoon, and Cupcake images and randomly stamped them on white card stock.  I then filled in the blank spaces with a little heart.  I used my BIC markers to add a bit of color.  I then took Tattered Rose and Wild Honey Distress Inks and inked it a bit.  I then added a strip of DCWV DP and a strip of border punched Chocolate Chip card stock and tied a sheer yellow ribbon around the middle.  I added the matted image a little wonky and added the sentiment. I stamped another cookie jar, colored it in, and cut it out.  Using pop dots, I added it beside the sentiment.
Adding three green gems to the bottom right corner finished it off.

Good Morning..TGIF..right.  It's very dreary here this morning.  It's raining and has turned off cold again.  Will the real spring ever stand up?

The card I have for you showcases one of the cutest dragons.  It's from Pink Gems.  His name is Denzil.

Pink Gem's challenge this week was Animals.  I think this little fella' fits the bill.  I started this card with a Daffodil Delight (SU) card base.   I used three different DP from my green stash bin.  I so need to start using up the scraps in my bins.  I think I'm going to set a challenge for myself to do that...well, back to the card.  I followed the Sweet Sketch Wednesday sketch for this card.  I did color Denzil with my BIC markers and added some Sakura Glitter pen.  The sentiment is from the Fiskars All Year Cheer set that I picked up for $.97.  I stamped it with Versa Fine Onyx. Adding a few gems from Queen and Co finished it up.

One of the challenges I am entering this card in is Favorite Films.  When I was a child, I absolutely loved Puff the Magic Dragon.  I watched it over and over until  I broke the tape.  So, this card is in honor of that movie.

Thanks for coming back to visit.  I have one more card for y'all this mornin'.  I have used a Rick St. Dennis image for this card.

Isn't he just darlin'.  I think so.  I printed off the image on Neenah card stock and colored him with my Chromatix.  I used the Classic Circles and Classic Petite Scalloped Circles to die cut the image and mat.  I made the card base from Old Olive (SU).  I used a DP from GTD and one from DCWV.  I used the Labels #10 die to make the center shape.  I added two brads from HOTP to each side.  The sentiment is a Studio G mini stamp and it's inked with Memento Bamboo Leaves.  I used Pop Dots on the sentiment and image.  Adding some gems in the corners finished up this card.

I {heart} You Mom

Good Morning.  So glad you stopped in this morning.  It's dreary here this morning.  It rained all night and is supposed to rain today.  Makes you want to go back to bed and snuggle up with a good book.

The card I have for you this morning uses a Milk Coffee image.

I printed out the image onto Neenah card stock and used my BIC markers to color her in.  After coloring her I used the Nestabilities Ovals and Scalloped Ovals to die cut the image and make a mat.

I made the card base from Coral card stock from HOTP.  I then cut a panel from Aqua card stock from HOTP for a mat.  The DP is from ATD.  I die cut two ovals from the Coral card stock.  I used a strip of DP that is on the back side of the same paper.  I punched it with my Fiskars border punch.  The sentiment is from Studio G and I stamped it with Colorbox Aqua ink.  I punched out the  sentiment with a Fiskars oval scalloped punch.  I added three Prima roses in Coral and Aqua.
