Whoopsie Daisy Image

On to the next creation for tonight.  This one uses a WhoopsiDaisy Image.  This is the first time I have ever used an image from this company.  I think they are adorably cute.

I printed out this little cutie on Neenah card stock and colored her in with my BICs and Copics.  I fussy cut around her head and then used my Nestabilities to cut out the rest of the circle.  I matted her onto a scalloped circle in pink (Recollections).  I used another DP from the Cardmaking magazine freebie pack.  I don't know what I am going to do when they are gone.  I really like them. 

I made the card base from Olive card stock from SU.  I used the same Olive to mat the pink polka dot DP.  I used pop dots to add the image after I added the bow.  To do that, I used my Cropadile to punch two holes into the image.  I threaded some olive ribbon through each hole, wrapped the ribbon around the front panel and then tied the bow.

The sentiment is from Gina K's Friends set and I added some pearls to finish off the card.

Welcome Baby Girl

Hello there.  Today I have a baby card for y'all.  I used an image from Digi Darla to create this card.

I really like the way this one turned out.  I began by printing off the digi onto GP White and coloring it with colored pencils.  I then cut it out using my Cutterbees.  The card is 5.5"x5.5" and the base is made from a soft pink from Recollections.  I layered two different DPs from American Traditional Design with the same pink in between the layers.  I die cut a scalloped circle and a white circle which I ran through the Swiss Dot EF.  I adhered the circles to the middle of the card and used pop dots to add the giraffe.  The yellow side pieces are from Recollections and I rounded the inner most corners.  I added a sentiment that I printed out from my word processor and some pearls from Queen and Co. to finish off the card.

Thinking of You

Good Morning.  Hope y'all are having a good Monday. Today's card uses an image from Beccy Muir.  This one is a simple but pretty card.

I used Gray from SU for the card base which is 6x6.  The DP is from DCWV.  I used a strip of purple from Recollections and matted the image on dark purple from Recollections.  The only color on the image is a little purple and a little green that I added with  colored pencils and some DI Vintage Photo on the edges.  I die cut two Leafy Branches from Sizzix and added three purple flowers with rhinestone centers that I got at Hobby Lobby to finished the card.

Special Lady

Howdy.  Can I just tell y'all how much I love Kenny K images?  They are fantastic.  I have to enlarge my collection as soon as possible.  I am really enjoying them.

The card that I for you uses a Kenny K image that looks like Marilyn Monroe.  I love her too.  She was a very sexy woman and I love the fact that she wasn't a twig.  I don't have a clue what these people see in a woman who looks like she needs a good home cooked, southern meal..ok maybe three or four of them.

I used my Spectrum Noir pens to add color to this beautiful image.  Now that I have some good card stock, I think I am getting better at blending.  I added some highlights using a white gel pen to her hair and her dress.  

After coloring her, I used my circle cutter to give it shape.  I inked the edges with Memento Dandelion ink.  I used the same cutter to make the patterned (Heidi Grace)  circle and the mustard (SU) colored circle.  The doily is from my stash and I inked it with Memento Lady Bug and Dandelion.  I layered them in a random pattern on a background from DCWV.  The card base itself is Recollections red and measures 6x6.

I added some Red Satin ribbon from Offray and a glittery butterfly from my stash.  Adding some red gems from Queen and CO. finished off the butterfly. 

The sentiment is from the Dessert Diva.  I used my Nestabilities to die cut the sentiment and scalloped mat (Basic Black--SU).  I used a pop dot to give the sentiment some height.

4.25" Card

Howdy y'all.  I'm back with another post for today.  I am trying to get everything posted and linked up because I am going to Virginia tomorrow to visit my dad.  He isn't doing to well.   Back in October he had is knee replaced and had alot of problems with it healing.  While he was in rehab, he started bleeding internally and they couldn't figure out why.  After running some tests they found out his prostate is messed up and he had colon cancer.  Last week he went in for surgery for the colon cancer.  He came through that beautifully and the surgeon said she got it all and it hadn't spread.  Two days ago, he had a mini stroke which left his right arm pretty much useless.  I feel the urge to go and visit with him.  It's been over a year since I have seen him.  I don't want to put off a visit and then have to live with a load of guilt if anything were to happen to him.  So, my husband took tomorrow off and we are leaving in the morning to go for a visit.  Please keep my dad in your prayers.  He needs all of them he can get.

Now, on to the cards.  I made a cute one using an image that I found online for free.  I colored it teal with my colored pencils.  I added some glitter gel pen to the lace part of the bra.  I used a blue glitter gel pen to fill in the ribbon.  The sentiment is from Scrapalicious. 

I used a medium shade of blue from Colorbok for the card base.  I found two scraps of blue in my stash and matted them onto white card stock.  I cut out a scalloped circle with my Cuttlebug and Nestabilities and then ran it through the Swiss Dot EB.  I used pop dots to adhere the bra on top of the circle.  I finished the card and looked back at my list where I realized it was supposed to be a CAS card.  This isn't very simple although it's clean.  So, I made another card.

This is a CAS card.  I used a beautiful burgundy card base from Colorbok.  I printed out this Scripture from Doodle Pantry onto GP white card stock.  I matted it on light pink from Recollections.  I added a lacy circle die cut and wrapped a piece of pink satin ribbon around the front.  I added the sentiment with pop dots and this CAS card was finished.

I need to pay more attention to my list.  But, I have another card to add to my stash because of my mistake.

Feeling Sketchy #44

Howdy folks.  Thanks for stopping by today.  I have a nice springy card for y'all today.

I decided to use shades of green for this card.  I am so waiting to see the first signs of Spring.  I guess we will know for sure tomorrow if it's coming or if we have to suffer through six more weeks of this cold stuff.  If Phil sees his shadow tomorrow I swear I'm going to shoot that little groundhog.  It's all fun and games, but what people don't realize is that groundhogs are blind.  He isn't going to see his shadow at all.  Oh well, such is life.

I started with a SU Crumb Cake base.  I used a Happy Birthday Embossing Folder on a piece of Glitter Green card stock from DCWV.  I used two strips of DP from Gina K Designs Wisteria Lane paper pack.  I used my Cuttlebug and die cut a scalloped circle to put behind the little girl (Provo Craft).  The sentiment is from TCP.  I stamped it in Memento Bamboo Leaves and inked the edges with DI Vintage Photo.  The little birthday cake is from a swap that I was in a couple years ago.    I used pop dots on the girl and the cake.

Welcome friends.  I hope everyone had a wonderful day.  Tomorrow is Friday so for those of you who have to go out of the home to work, I pray y'all have a great day!

This first card uses an image from Anne Fenton.  If y'all have never used one of her images, I have to tell ya, y'all are missin' out.  She is a fab artists with some of the cutest digis ever.

I colored this cute little mermaid with my colored pencils and OMS. I chalked the sky background and added a bit of sunshine at the top.  For this card, I actually picked the background paper first and colored the image to match the paper.  The DP is from DCWV Glam Girl pad.  I used Gina K heavy base weight white for the 5.5" card base.  The turquoise and pink card stocks are from Recollections. I used a beautiful turquoise ribbon from Offray and wrapped it around the back ground paper and tied a knot-bow.  The sentiment I printed off of my computer and matted it on Hot Pink card stock from Recollections.  I added three pink gems and three turquoise gems from Queen and Co. to finish off the card.
