Welcome back y'all.  I have one more card for ya in this batch.  I will have more later on tonight, I'm sure.

This card used a beautiful rose image from Beccy Muir.  I centered the roses and added the sentiment around it.  The sentiment is a Scripture from 2 Corinthians 5:17.

I began by printing off the image.  I colored in the roses and leaves with my BIC markers.  I added some white highlights with a White Gel Pen.  After I added the highlights, it just looked too  bright so I toned it down a bit.  The card itself is 6" square and is made from a card base of Red card stock from Colorbok.  I added a DP from DCWV after matting it on Black Recollections card stock.  I trimmed down a panel of striped DP from DCWV and also matted that on black. The image itself is matted on black.  Before adding the image, I added some 2" wide Red ribbon and tied a bow on the right hand side.  I added image with pop dots.

Take Flight

Mornin' y'all.  How goes it?  I hope everyone is having a good start to the week.  I have a card for y'all today that uses a technique that I found on Gina K's Stamp TV.  It's called Color on Color Resist.  You can watch the video here.

I hope y'all can see the shine on the embossed butterflies in the picture.  I tried to capture it for the blog.

To begin, I used Memento Inks in shades of Purple and a sponge dauber to add color to the white Gina K panel.  I just randomly added color starting with the lightest purple first.  I then used a brand new stamp set from Eco Green Crafts called Butterfly Post that I found at Tuesday Morning.  I hadn't ever seen this company's stamps until that day.  They are all made from recycled rubber and are the prettiest color green.  I stamped the medium butterfly and small butterfly with Versa Mark ink.  I then covered the image with Clear Embossing Powder from Ranger.  I used my heat gun to emboss the images.  After they were cool, I took Victorian Velvet Distress ink and applied color over the butterflies.  I used a paper towel to remove the color on top of the butterflies.  I then stamped the small Take Flight image on Gina K card stock with Versa Mark and used Adirondack's Eggplant embossing powder.  After it cooled I used a Provo Craft Metal Stamp die to cut it out.  I used pop dots to add it to the center of the card.  I tied some Purple ribbon around the center of the panel.  

I then trimmed down a panel of Purple card stock from Colorbok and wrapped a piece of striped purple ribbon around it.  The background paper is from Far Far Hill.  The edges of the papers are torn.  I made the card base from Gina K Heavy Base Weight White card stock and it's a standard A2 size.  I adhered the DP, then the purple panel and added the focal image wonky. For the corner embellishment, I used a Provo Craft Metal Die and ran it through my CuttleBug.

Morning Person

Howdy friends.  I have a couple more cards for y'all tonight before I call it quits for the day.   I appreciate y'all stopping by to see what I've been up to.

The first card uses an image from C.C. Designs.  I think she's adorable.  I used my Spectrum Noir pens to give her life.  The sentiment is from Verses.

So, whatcha think about this CAS?  Pretty good right? I printed out the image and sentiment on Neenah card stock then colored the image.  I trimmed both down and used my Xacto Corner Punch on them.  I matted both a piece of Pink card stock from Recollections.  The DP is from GCD.  I used a piece of Gina K Heavy Base Weight White card stock to make the 5.5" square card base.  I used my 5 petal, EK Success flower punches to make the flower and added a pink pearl from Queen and Co.  I used pop dots to add the sentiment.

Alter It

Happy Saturday y'all.  I have to go grocery shopping, but first I wanted to post this.  I tried my hand at altering a box.  I have never tried this before and I think it turned out OK.  For my first try anyway.  I have been watching some of the videos on YouTube and am totally amazed at the boxes that those ladies alter.  WOWZA!!

I started by painting the box that I bought at AC Moore for $1 with Eggshell White paint that I had in my stash from when I was painting ceramics.  I let it dry and added some Crackle Medium.  I then used a piece of DP from DCWC that has a light burgundy flower pattern. I used Modge Podge, but it bubbled some and I don't like the way you can see the bubbles in the paper.  I inked all the edges of the papers in Vintage Photo DI before adhering them.  I then took a string of flat back Ivory Pearls and hot glued them around the bottom of the box.  Then came the fun part.  I added an Ivory Pearl Swirl to the top and began adding roses.  The roses are from Prima and I just kept adding them until I liked the effect.  I also added one to the bottom of the box.  To fill in the hollow spots, I added some little fabric roses that I bought at AC Moore.

I also added a bottom paper to the inside of the box and a top paper to the inside.  And that, my friends, finished up my first attempt at altering a box.  I hope you like it.

Hello friends.  Happy Friday.  I hope you are enjoying your day.  I have a card for you this afternoon that is a little bit different from what I usually make.  It's very embellished with flowers.

To begin, I made an A2 card base from Very Vanilla by SU.  I used a piece of brown card stock from Recollections to make the first layer.  I then cut a piece of DP from DCWV and matted it on a panel of Light Blue from Recollections.  I attached that to the left hand side of the card.  I then pulled a page from a dictionary that I had purchased just for crafting.  I used the page that has the word "create" on it.  I inked it heavily with Vintage Photo DI after tearing the edges.  I used a Black Sharpie and circled the word and definition for create.  I attached that page wonky on the card.  The flourishes and leaves I received from my friend Jan.  Thanks, Jan.   I added a bunch of little ribbon roses that I purchased at Jo-Ann's a while back.  They were just hanging around in my stash.  I did have to use my hot glue gun to make them stay on the card.

So, with all those flowers and leaves, I didn't think it needed anything else.  I truly appreciate that you took time out of your schedule to stop by my blog.  Thanks so much.  God bless y'all.

Take Me Home

Hello there.  I hope you had a good day.  Come on in and sit a spell.  Let's take a look at what I have for y'all today.

This card uses an image from QKR Stampede.  They have some of the quirkiest and whimsical images ever.

Isn't this the cutest little turtle?  I colored this image with Spectrum Noir and cut it out.  I sponged the background with a cloud template and Tumbled Glass and Tattered Rose Distress Ink.  I tore the three layers of "dirt" and inked the edges with Vintage Photo DI then layered them on top of the sky card stock.  Everything is matted on a Kraft card base from Recollections.  I used a piece of DCWV bandanna DP to add a country feel.  The sentiment is from Annie's Little Footprints.

I was a little bit too late to enter this into the challenge for QKR, but it is going into a couple more.

Love at Easter

Welcome back.  Thanks for taking a peek at my card. I know that Easter is over, but I can add this to my stash for next year.

The image is a freebie from Paper Craft World.  I used Chromatix pens to color in this little cutie.

After coloring him, I cut him out with my Cutterbees.  I made a 5" square card base from SU Old Olive card stock.  The DPs are from GTD and I got them at Tuesday Morning for $1.99.  Told y'all I loved that store.  I followed a sketch from Feeling Sketchy to make this card.  I matted the polka dot panels on Old Olive just to give them a bit of separation from the back ground.  I had the sentiment in my stash from a long time ago and I think it came from Studio G.  I used Versa Magic Spanish Olive to stamp it.

Hello

I'm so glad you took the time to come see me today.  I truly appreciate it.  

I have another cute birdie card for y'all.  This image is from Broken Box Stock.  I used my BIC Markers to color this image after printing it off on Neenah card stock.

I made my card base from light blue card stock from Colorbok.  It's a typical A2 card this time.   I cut a piece of colorful blue and orange DP from DCWV for the back ground.  I matted my image on a piece of turquoise card stock from Recollections.  The sentiment is from TCP Secret Garden Collage that I got at Tuesday Morning for $.97.  I love that store.  I stamped it with Bahama Blue from Memento.  I trimmed it down and matted it on the same turquoise as the image.  For the flowers, I used two EK Success punches, Mini 5 petal and Small 5 petal.  I used the turquoise card stock and the back ground paper to make them.  I added a yellow gem from Queen and Co to the centers.

Thanks for stopping in to see what I've been up to.  I got alot done today, so I'm taking a break and blogging a bit.

My card this time uses an image from A Day for Daisies.  You can find some really cute whimsical images on their blog.  I used a cute girl playing the piano for this one.

I started by printing off my image on Neenah card stock.  I colored her in with BIC markers and Copics for her skin.  I trimmed her down and matted the image on a pretty dark blue from Recollections.  I printed out a cute sentiment from Walt Disney..who doesn't just love Disney right?  I also matted the sentiment on the same blue.  I made the card base using the same blue and sized it to 5" square.  I am hung up on square cards for some reason.  I cut a piece of white card stock from Recollections and ran it through the Allegro EF.  I thought that was the perfect fit.  After wrapping a piece of blue ribbon around the center, I added the image and sentiment.  To finish off the card, I added three music notes from Mrs. Grossman.  I don't usually use her stickers because they are kind of childish, but I had these in my stash and thought they worked.

Howdy y'all.  Welcome back for another peek at my creations.  This card uses a beautiful image from Anne Fenton.  She's so very talented.  I printed out the image on Neenah card stock and colored her with Spectrum Noir Pens.

She's all spiffied up and ready to party.  Nothing says hot like that little red dress.  And I love the fact that this woman isn't skinny and bony.  Not all of us are model thin.  I have some meat on my bones and like to see images that I can relate to.

I started with a black card base (Recollections) and added a layer of black, red and white striped DP from DCWV.  I did follow a sketch from Mojo Monday for this card. All of the DP is from DCWV and the black and red used for matting is from Recollections.  I printed out the sentiment from Annie's Little Footprints and cut it out with a 2" circle punch.  I did use my Nestabilities for the scalloped mats on both circles.

I added lots and lots of pearls after running the large striped circle through the D'vine Swirls EF.  I love pearls.  So classy.

Home Sweet Home

Good evening friends.  How is everyone tonight?  I hope you had a wonderful Wednesday.  It's been quiet around here tonight.  My daughter has been at her grandma's since 2pm so I have been able to get quite alot accomplished.  Mostly cards, but a load or two of laundry and dishes were done too. :)

I have a card for y'all tonight that uses as image from Shelly's Images.  I used my Chromatix pens from American Crafts to color this one after printing it out on Neenah card stock.  I'm almost out...gotta order some.  Can't live without it.

I know it's kind of hard to see, but the swirly lines that you see are actually an acetate frame from K and Co.  It's been in my hoard stash for about a year.  One of the challenges I made this card for challenges us to use a specialty paper.  I don't really have alot of that, but I thought I would pull out one of theses frames to use.   It has beautiful purple glitter flowers in the left corner and glitter swirlies all around the frame.  I matted the frame on a piece of yellow card stock from Colorbok and a piece of DP from DCWV.  I then ran that through my Cuttlebug with a rectangle die.  I used pop dots and adhered the whole frame over the image.  I matted the whole thing on a piece of the DP from DCWV and a light blue card stock base from Colorbok.  For a final touch, I added a glittered chipboard bird from K and Co. to the bottom left corner.  I didn't think it needed any more embellishing.

Welcome back.  I'm glad y'all stopped by.  I have a pretty clean and simple card for y'all this time.  Well, about as CAS as I get.  I used a sentiment from WAW.

I printed off the Scripture on Neenah card stock and matted it onto a Burnt Orange by Recollections.  I used three different DPs from Theresa Collins and DCWV.  I did ink the paper with Vintage Photo to kind of separate it from the background.  I didn't add any embellishments to this one.  Shocking isn't it?

Basket Of Strawberries

Hello there my friends.  How is everyone this fine Tuesday evening.  It's pretty chilly here.  I thought that stupid groundhog indicated Spring..I think he got confused this year.

I have a card that features a Beccy Muir image for y'all today.  I used my BIC markers to color this one after printing it on Neenah card stock.

I used a sketch from Freshly Made to create this card.  I used DP from DCWV and KandCO.  The card stock is from Recollections.  I found this sentiment in a set of stamps from Fiskars called Fresh Fruit.  I punch out the sentiment using an EK Success Label punch.  I added a strip of ribbon from my stash and some gems from Queen and Co. to finish it off.  I wish I had a basket full of big juicy strawberries.  They look really good.  Some chocolate to dip them in wouldn't be bad either..hehe

Happy Monday.  Thanks for stopping by today.  The card I have for you this morning is my first card for Beccy's Place.  We have a wonderful set to use called Bicycle Set.  Included in this set are three great images and sentiments to go along with them.  When you leave my blog, hop on over to Beccy's Place and check out the store for this new image set and all the other beautiful designs.

I printed off this image onto Neenah Super Smooth White card stock and used BIC Markers to color in the bike and flowers.  For the back ground I used a few different Distress Inks--Forest Moss, Tea Dye, Antique Linen, Tumbled Glass, Wild Honey and Tattered Rose. I inked the edges of the image and sentiment with Bahama Blue Memento Ink.  Both the image and the sentiment are matted on a Deep Blue from HOTP.  I used two different DP from DCWV.  The card itself is 6" square and made from HOTP card stock.  I cut the circle DP with my Martha Stewart Circle Cutter.  Adding some red gems from Queen and Co. finished off the card.
