I Love You This Much!!!

Happy Friday.  Are y'all as happy to see Friday as I am?  It's been a long week, at least it seems that way.  Tonight my husband is going with his father to our area's annual Venison Dinner.  They get to have all kinds of food and they always have a speaker.  This year they are speaking on Bears in Our Area.  It's nice for the men in our area to be able to get together and fellowship.  So, while they are gone, my daughter, my MIL, my GMIL and I are going out for Chinese and hitting Five Below and maybe Hobby Lobby.

On to the reason y'all actually stopped by.  Since it's Friday, that means a new challenge at QKR Stampede.  This week, our theme is Hearts and Kisses.  Yep, we've jumped on the Valentine's bandwagon. 

I love turtles, among many other things, so I decided to use this little man whose been kissed.

The card for this post features a freebie image from A Day for Daisies.  I wasn't sure how to turn this freebie into a Valentine's Card with Pink and Red, but then I saw the hearts on the mugs and it hit me...

I used some scraps of Valentine's papers to make the background for the image.  I love that little dog..he's so cute.

Yes, you are seeing things right...It's a yellow Valentine's card.  I did a touch of pink, just to make it Valentiney, but the majority of it follows the colors of a bee.  I thought it was cute!

3 Little Note Cards

Good Afternoon friends.  Well, the weathermen were actually right for once.  They called for a snow storm and we got about 8 inches.  I'm gonna kill that dang groundhog.

I made three little 4x4 notecards to stick in my husband's lunch box three days next week since next Friday is Valentine's Day.  We don't really celebrate the day because we both feel that you shouldn't save your show of love for just one day. We celebrate all year.  

I used three images from Nana Vic's digital stamps. She has a page of FB and also an Etsy store which you can find here.  I love her images.  They are so cute.

I really like the John 3:16 one.  I would have never thought to find the word Valentine in that Scripture. How cool is that?

Be Mine

Tuesday's Challenge at Clear It Out

Good Morning.  It's Tuesday and we ended up with about 3-4 inches of unexpected snow yesterday. We are watching another snow storm for tomorrow that could drop up to a foot of that white stuff.  Man, the downfall of living in the Northeast.

New Challenge at Digi Darla

Good Morning.  It's Monday again.  For some of you that's a good thing, for some, not so much.  I don't do Mondays very well. LOL.

New Challenge at Melonheadz Friends

Happy Monday, friends.  Thanks for joining me today for a new challenge at Melonheadz Friends. Our last challenge, "Winter Fun" brought some amazingly creative cards into our blog.  I'm glad I don't have to pick the winner.

This challenge, since it's the Valentine's season, is of course, "Valentine's".  We all have that special someone or someones that we need to make cards for, so here's your opportunity to get a few made.

Y'all know that me and my redneck self loves "Duck Dynasty".  My daughter's favorite character on the show is Uncle Si.  She thinks he is hysterical.  For Christmas, she had a list a mile long of things with Uncle Si on them.  So, I made this card for her.

I think he turned out pretty good.  As you can see, he has his infamous blue tea glass.  On the front, I used Phil's quote, but on the inside it says "That's a fact Jack", which is Uncle Si's quote.

Male Birthday Card

I love old vintage trucks and cars.  I have had a 77 Camaro, a 77 Chrysler Newport, and a 78 pick up.  I love the sound, the feel, the way those old, steel cars and trucks drive.  They were virtually indestructible.

My First Mother's Day card for 2014

Good afternoon my friends.  I guess you could say that I'm giving your eyes a break.  This stomach bug is kicking my butt.

I did manage to get a couple cards made yesterday and early this morning because I couldn't sleep. The card I have for y'all in this post uses a beautiful Tiger Lily and Butterfly image from Delicious Doodles.  Teri outdid herself on this one.

I used some zesty colors for this one.  I wasn't too sure I would be able to do these lilies justice, but I think they turned out pretty good.

New Challenge with Paper A La Mode

Hi there.  It's Saturday and that means another new challenge over at Paper a La Mode.  We had some great entries this past week.  It's going to be very hard to pick a winner.  

This week's challenge is "Hugs and Kisses".  With Valentine's Day right around the corner we need to make these cards so that we have them and aren't rushing around at the last minute.

This little cutie is from a card kit that I bought last year at Michael's after Valentine's Day.  I love the vintage feel with all the stitching.  I wish I could take credit for it, but I can't.  I don't even own a sewing machine...yet.
