Valentine's with Ike's World

Hello y'all.  Thanks for stopping in tonight.  I have a couple of post to make for tonight.  I've been making some last minute Valentine's Day cards.  I need to get a couple in the mail tomorrow.

We are in line for another snow storm on Wednesday.  I sure hope they either change their minds about the totals or that it misses us all together....16-28 inches.  Really??  I am not looking forward to that.  I sure hope the good Lord spares us.

My first card uses an image from Ike's World.  For those of you who have used Ike's images, y'all know that she can be a bit off kilter with her images.  So, with that in mind, I decided to make an off kilter Valentine's Day card.

A bit different, right?  My daughter's best friend loves horses.  She has started taking riding lessons and is trying very hard talking her parents into buying her a horse.  It's not working very well.  I told my daughter that she could give this card to her BFF for Valentine's Day.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope y'all enjoy the rest of your evening.  God bless.

Day 30 of the 31 Days of Halloween Blog Hop

Welcome to Day 30.  As we come to the close of this month long extravaganza, I have a quick little ATC that I made in about all of 5 minutes.  With my daughter being sick, I didn't have alot of time to craft the past couple of days.  So, here goes.

I used a background paper from Bearly Mine, which was a freebie.  I printed it out at ATC size and adhered it to a piece of cereal box.  I inked around the edges with Vintage Photo DI.  The stamp is a digi that I found for free online through a free image search.  I like that wise old owl.  I printed it at about 1.5"x2" and inked the edges again with DI Vintage Photo.  I added a sentiment from my stash and some black pearls.

Very quick and easy today.  Make sure to stop by Terra's blog to check out the sponsors for today and the winners.  See ya tomorrow for our last day of this wonderful hop.

Digi Darla Mondays

Good morning friends.  Today is Kierstynne's first day of school.  Busy, busy.  We have a back to school meeting at noon so I'm posting early.

This week at Digi Darla our challenge is "Anything Goes with a Twist--use a digi stamp, bow, and at least one butterfly."

I cheated a bit and used a paper that had bows on it. The digi is called Summerfly Flowers.  I colored them with Chromatix Alcohol Pens and added some Sakura Clear Star pen.  I stamped the sentiment from a set of words from The Paper Studio.  I love this sentiment set because you can create your own phrases and there are words for every occasion.

The card base is standard A2 size and is SU Old Olive. I found that beautiful flowered paper in my stash and thought it worked beautiful for this card.  I matted the image onto the same Old Olive card stock and used pop dots to adhere it to the card.

Thanks so much for stopping in today.  I hope to see some of your creations entered into our challenge this week.  Have a great Monday and God bless.
