A Day for Daisies Challenge

Good morning, friends.  I hope y'all are warm.  It's very cold here today.  -3.  Way to cold.  We did get oil on Saturday, but our pipes froze Friday night and when they thawed the ones under the kitchen sink and in the laundry room exploded.  Yep, when it rains it pours.  My wonderful FIL fixed them all.  I could not ask for a better FIL. He's amazing.

I have been working over the holidays on getting ahead on my DT work so that I could enter some challenges with new cards.  The first one I did last night was for A Day for Daisies.  I had this beautiful image in my stash, so I wanted to use it.

I think she's beautiful.  I love vintage images and this one just fits the bill.  I followed the sketch for this week at Digi Sketch Challenge and am joining the challenge at Crafting from the Heart using pearls.

Thanks for stopping by today to see what I have been up to.  I hope y'all have a great Tuesday and God bless.

Ike's World Challenge #4

Hello friends.  I am home alone tonight so I have been crafting my heart out.  I got four cards made and still have one to go.

This first card is for the Ike's World Challenge #4 Krazy Kritterz.  I love Ike's artwork.  It's amazing.  If you haven't ever seen it, please make sure to check it out.

I used a cute little Santa Dog for this card.

I tried to color him like my Jack Russell and he came out pretty close.  I used Crayola colored pencils and OMS.  The papers are from The Paper Studio and the card stock is Recollections.  I stamped the sentiment (from my stash) with Versa Fine Onyx Black.  I followed the sketch from this week's challenge at Digi Sketch Challenge.  I am also entering this one into the Paper Take Weekly Anything Goes challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I truly appreciate it.  I love reading the comments that you guys leave for me.  Have a great night.

Genesis 1:31

Howdy y'all.  I have another card today that uses a decoupage from Jo at Trimgym.  This one is a beautiful purple iris.

One of the themes for one of the challenge is Rain, Rain Go Away.  I didn't use a rain image because when I think of the rain going away, the flowers begin to bloom.  Hence, the iris.  The flowered DP is also from this decoupage set.  I matted the flower panels on Old Olive card stock from SU.  The strip in the middle is also Old Olive.  I used Elegant Eggplant card stock from SU for the card base.  The DP is DCWV.  I received this sentiment from a RAK and thought it was perfect for the new flowers that are popping up everywhere here in PA.  I matted it on a small panel of Elegant Eggplant.  Adding some gems from Queen and Co finished off the card.

Thanks so much for poppin' in today.  Have a happy Monday and God bless y'all.

White on White

Thanks for joining me for another card creation.  This one made me step outside my comfort zone and do something I don't usually do..white on white.  I love color and design so a plain card is hard for me.

To make this card I pulled out some white card stock and cut two panels.  I ran one through the Darice Butterfly Corner EF and the other through the Argyle EF.  I used my glitter gel pens to add some color to the butterflies.  I tied a piece of sheer white ribbon around the card front and added the sentiment from Dee's Bugaboo Boutique.  Quick, fast and sweet.  I like the way it turned out, but I don't think I'm ready to jump on the white band wagon just yet.

Thanks for stopping by this evening.  I truly appreciate it.  God bless y'all.

Because He Lives

Good Afternoon Friends.  I have a card to show y'all today.  The theme for this one is Easter/Spring over at Digi Sketch.  They wanted to see bunnies, Easter Eggs, Chicks, Lambs or Flowers.  To me, Easter isn't just about the cutesy stuff.  There is a bigger meaning behind why we celebrate the holiday of Easter.  That is what my Easter card represents.

I used a beautiful image from Designed 2 Delight (now From the Heart) and used my BICS and Chromatix pens to color the image.  I picked a sentiment that reflected the reason I celebrate Easter from Desert Diva.  I colored the sash a deep purple as purple is the color of royalty.  I did some white gel pen work for highlights.    All the card stock is from Colorbok and I didn't need any DP for this card because the image itself needs to take the focus.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope y'all have a great rest of your Sunday.  God bless y'all.

I Thank God For You

Hello again.  I have one more card for you tonight/today.  It's 2 am here in NE PA and I am trying to finish up blogging so I can go watch Lizard Lick Towing.  I just love that show.

The card I have for you uses a free image that I got online, but again, I forgot to write down who the artist is.  I'm trying to keep my digis organized, but every now and again one slips through the cracks.

I love my butterflies.  There are so many color combos and beautiful designs on them that it's just amazing to me.   I used my Chromatix pens to do this image.  I thought the butterfly would look really nice in shades of blue.  I like the way it turned out with that pop of blue with all the pink.  I also added some highlights with a white gel pen.  The sentiment is from Dee's Bugaboo Boutique.  I die cut it out with my square Nestabilities.  The DP is from SEI Chocolat and the card base is a 6x6 from Colorbok.  I made the white DP into a banner and added some pink pearls from Queen and CO.  The Light Blue card stock is from Colorbok and I printed the image on Neenah.

Thanks for looking and I pray y'all have a great day.  God bless.

Snow People

Howdy y'all.  I have a card to show off today.  I used an image that I found online for free when I first started with digi stamps.  I have no idea who designed it, so if you know, please leave me a comment and tell me so that I can give props.

I used my BIC markers and Spectrum Noir markers to add some color to this image.  After printing out the image on Neenah Super Smooth White card stock and coloring it, I rounded the corners.  The sentiment is from Gina K Designs and I used a 1 1/2" circle punch to give it a snowball appearance.  I inked the edges with DI Broken China.  The striped "paper" is actually a sticker from HOTP.  I then added a strip of Dark Blue card stock from Recollections across the bottom.  The card base is a light blue from Colorbok.  To finish off the card, I added three blue gems from Queen and Co.

I thank y'all so much for stoppin' in to check out my card.  God bless y'all.
