Howdy folks. Thanks for stopping by today. I have a nice springy card for y'all today.
I decided to use shades of green for this card. I am so waiting to see the first signs of Spring. I guess we will know for sure tomorrow if it's coming or if we have to suffer through six more weeks of this cold stuff. If Phil sees his shadow tomorrow I swear I'm going to shoot that little groundhog. It's all fun and games, but what people don't realize is that groundhogs are blind. He isn't going to see his shadow at all. Oh well, such is life.
I started with a SU Crumb Cake base. I used a Happy Birthday Embossing Folder on a piece of Glitter Green card stock from DCWV. I used two strips of DP from Gina K Designs Wisteria Lane paper pack. I used my Cuttlebug and die cut a scalloped circle to put behind the little girl (Provo Craft). The sentiment is from TCP. I stamped it in Memento Bamboo Leaves and inked the edges with DI Vintage Photo. The little birthday cake is from a swap that I was in a couple years ago. I used pop dots on the girl and the cake.
Thanks for stoppin' in today and I hope y'all enjoy your weekend. God bless ya!

TIC TAC TOE
Welcome back. So glad to see you. Come on in, I have a card to show you.
Today's card is for the Crafts 4 Eternity challenge for this week. It is a Tic Tac Toe challenge, which means you have to pick three items to use on your card from the board. I chose the color blue, ribbon and snowflakes.
Isn't that a cute penguin? I just love penguins. I could sit at the zoo for hours and watch them play. I received this image already matted on the scalloped ovals in a swap, so I decided to use it for this card. I started with a piece of gray-blue card stock from Colorbok as my A2 card base. It is a top opening card instead of the usual side opening. I used some snowflake stickers from Provo Craft to give texture and design to the card base. That swirling blue ribbon, that's from Recollections and reminds me of snowflakes twirling and swirling through the air as they float down to earth. It's a felt ribbon so it gives added texture to the card. I used pop dots to add the penguin image. The little sentiment is from Inkadinkado and it's called Friendly Characters. The sentiment is actually attached to a little penguin standing on a block of ice, but I just stamped the sentiment part of the stamp by masking off the image. I stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and cut it out to look like a spoken word bubble. I inked it with Colorbox Cat's Eye ink in Light Blue.
That was it. I think it took me all of 15 minutes from start to finish to make this card. It has been one of the easier ones I have made lately. I do thank you from the bottom of my heart for stopping in to see what I have been up to. I pray you have a wonderful evening. God bless y'all.
