Marvelous Monday with Digi Darla

Hello there, friends.  Today is Monday and that means the start of a new challenge over at Digi Darla.  Our last challenge, The Holly Copy Cat image, brought in some beautiful creations.  Our winner of 5 images from the store is:
BASTELARENA

Congrats, Bastelarena.  This is an amazing little tag.  Make sure you contact Denise to claim your prize.

Our new challenge is "SNOWMEN OR SANTA".  That gives you quite a range of items to choose from.  There are so many different styles of Santa's and Snowmen out there.
The winner, chosen by Random.org, will win 5 images from the store as long as use a Digi Darla image.

I chose to use Snowmen as my basis.  Here's what I came up with:

I colored this cute snowman with BIC Markers and Sakura Glitter gel pens.  I used Labels 10 from Spellbinders to die cut the snowman.  I cut a red label of the same size and off set the image.  I used two pieces of patterned paper from K & Co's Mod Holiday stack.  The snowflakes are punches that I colored with a gold metallic pen so that they would match the gold on the snowman's scarf and hat.  Before adhering the background paper, I ran it through a Darice EF called Corner Swirls.  Adding some gems to the center of the snowflakes and printing out the sentiment finished off the card.

I hope y'all have enjoyed this sweet card.  I hope to see some of y'alls cards in our challenge this week.  Have a wonderful Monday and God bless y'all.

The Crafter's Cafe Challenge

Hello there.  Welcome back to my little spot in blog land.  I am so grateful to everyone of you who take the time to come see what I have been up to.

Today's card is for the new Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog challenge.  It's Anything Goes and the DT used Eureka images this week.

I chose "The Legend of the Butterfly" for my card.  It's a beautiful story.  I trimmed it down and inked the edges before matting it on a piece of Cream card stock.  The card base is made from the same Cream Recollections card stock.  The patterned papers are from K & Co.  All those cute little butterflies are made from the Martha Stewart punches, but I'm not sure of the names.  The one punch has the larger butterfly and the other has three smaller butterflies.  I added some pearls to the bigger ones to finish off my card.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope y'all will consider joining us at TCCCB this week.  Have a great day and God bless!

Spectacular Saturday with Paper A La Mode

It's Saturday.  I got to sleep in today.  Yippee!!  I don't get to sleep in very often and boy, did I enjoy it.

Today starts a new challenge at Paper A La Mode.  Last week's challenge, "Snowflakes and Stars" brought in some beautiful cards.

This week's challenge is "Die Cuts/Punches"  and I used my Spellbinders Hexagon dies and an image from Beccy Muir.

I colored the birdhouse with my Crayolas and fussy cut it.  I used a K & Co paper for the hexagons.  I added a couple pieces of washi tape at the top because it just looked too plain.  The sentiment is from Stampin' Up.

I hope to see your creations at Paper A La Mode for this week's challenge.  Thanks for stopping by today.  God bless ya!

Saturdays with Paper A La Mode

Good morning.  Welcome to my blog on this beautiful Saturday morning.  Today starts a new challenge over at Paper A La Mode.  Our sponsor for this challenge is Rick St. Dennis.  We are so super excited to have him as our sponsor.  Rick's artwork is amazing.

For my card, I used this cute Santa and Mrs. Claus image:
I used my trusty ole Crayola's and Sakura Glitter pens to add some sparkle.  I pulled out one of my MME paper pads from last year for the patterned paper. The card stock is Recollections. The holly and berry embellishments are from K & Co.

I have been working hard trying to get some sponsors for our little group on the Outlawz and have succeeded a bit.  Each month our sponsor prizes will be awarded.  So, if you enter this challenge, at the end of November our winners will be picked and the prizes awarded at the beginning of December.  You should come join us, you could win 2 of Rick's images.

Thanks for stopping by this morning.  I hope y'all have a great weekend.

Saturday's at Paper A La Mode

Hello there y'all.  Thanks for stopping by.  I am in a bit of pain today.  If you saw my post yesterday, you know that I took my daughter to Roba's Farm.  Well, it was a beautiful day.  Not too hot, nice breeze blowing..yeah well..that's so deceptive.  I look like a burnt chip.  Yep, that's right.  I got some serious sunburn on my face, arms and chest.  I didn't even know I was burning.  I'm feeling it today.  But, even with the pain today, we had a fantastic time yesterday, so it was worth it.

Today starts the new challenge over at Paper A La Mode.  Debbie has come up with a doozie of a challenge.  Use something old that you haven't used before.  We all have something hiding in the recesses of our crafting rooms that we bought years ago thinking it would make a great project.  But, it got pushed to the back burner and you never got around to using it.  Well, pull it out for this challenge.

I found a set of K & CO Birthday chipboard stickers in one of the crates that I store my stuff in.  I pulled them out and thought, "Hey, that would make a cute card".  So, I got to work...

I used Recollections Pink card stock for the base and a piece of polka dot paper from my scrap stash to make the beginning of the card.  I pulled these two chipboard stickers and the candle border strip (from a set of stickers from the Dollar Tree) out to use.  I figured being chip board stickers I didn't need to use pop dots on them.

So, that's it.  Very simple, very easy and very quick.  I think it took me 5 minutes to make this cute card.  The inside has more of the polka dot paper, a white journaling spot and another sticker from the Dollar Tree pack that says "May all your wishes come true."

Thanks for joining me today and I hope to see some of your creations on Paper A La Mode this week.  Have a great day and God bless y'all.
