Simple Salutations at Mark's Finest Papers Challenge #93

Hello Friends.  Thanks for joining me on this beautiful Wednesday morning.  As we gear up for the most wonderful holiday of all, Easter, most of the challenges out there are Easter themed.  For us Christians, Easter is a very special day.  It's not about the bunnies, or the chocolate, egg hunts, baskets or even the new dresses and shoes.  Easter is about the most wonderful gift ever given to anyone.  The gift of God's only son, Jesus.  He was given as a love gift and for our salvation.  The blood that was shed on Good Friday worked it's miracle on Easter Morning.  I am so thankful for that gift.

So, since our challenge theme for Simple Salutations this week is Easter/Spring, I had to make a card representing the true meaning of Easter.

Yes, my friends, He is Risen, indeed.  You will not find Him in a tomb.  He is alive and sitting at the right hand of God the Father, interceding on our behalf.  Praise the Lord!

Hey, Hey...Do you know what day it is?  Nope, it's a new challenge day at Digital Stamps 4 Joy...LOL.  I bet you thought I was going to say "Hump Day" right?  

This challenge round is "Easter/Spring".   We would prefer you to use a DS4J image, but you aren't required to.  But, remember, in order to win the DT Choice prize,  you do need to use a DS4J image. You can find tons in the store.

There is always a twist with our sketches and this week it's Easter or Spring.  You can twist the sketch, add embellishments, but make sure we can see the basic sketch on your card.

I did a bit of a different Easter card for this challenge.  I decided to go with an unusual color scheme.  I'm kinda tired of all the pastels already. After about a month of making Easter cards, I'm ready for something different.  I get the same way with Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas cards.

Good Morning.  It's a beautiful Tuesday here in Northeast PA.  The weather has been beautiful.  I actually had to turn on the fan last night because it got rather warm in the middle of the night.  Yeah!! I'm so excited.  As long as it doesn't get too hot, too fast, I'm good.

Hello there.  Today is Saturday.  My day is extremely busy today, so I actually got this ready on Thursday night so that I could be sure it was ready to go for today.

QKR Stampede Challenge #83

Happy Friday everyone.  So happy to "see" y'all.  We have a super busy weekend so I'm enjoying the peace and quiet for a while tonight.

Being Friday, that means another challenge at QKR Stampede.  Last week's challenge was a great one.  We didn't have a ton of entries, but the ones we did were fantastic.

This week, our challenge is, "Easter".  If you check the store, you will find tons of Easter images.  Remember that you aren't required to use a QKR image, but if you do, we truly appreciate it.

Musically Challenged #21

Hi again.  I have completed another card and this one is for the Musically Challenged challenge #21.  The challenge is to use a Song with a Girl's Name.  There are so many songs out there with a girl's name in that you really have a lot to chose from.  I decided to use one of my most favorite songs, "Beth" by KISS.  I have always loved this song.  So, with that song in mind, I searched my digi stash and the closest I could come to an image for this song was "Bethany" by Cuddlebug Cuties by Anna Stillwell.  

Since she had an Easter basket, I figured I better make her an Easter card. :)

First Post with MFP Simple Salutations

Good Morning.  I won't bore you with the whole Hump Day deal again. :)  I'm so glad that y'all joined me today.  Thanks!

Today begins my DT position with Mark's Finest Paper Simple Salutations team.  Our challenge for this week is "Elegant".  I'm not real sure what your definition of elegant is, but for me, elegant means black and gold.  I think that is a great combination for an elegant card.

Here's what I came up with:

I embossed the image and the sentiment in gold to make it pop.  Part of my whole idea of elegant. :)

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge #188

Hello my friends.  Welcome to the new challenge at Tuesday Throwdown.  Can you believe that Easter is only three weeks away?  This year is flying by.  I love Easter.  To me, it's the greatest holiday there is.  I get to celebrate both the worst day and the greatest day.  To me, Easter isn't just about the Easter Bunny, the egg hunts or the chocolate.  It's about the death and Resurrection of my Savior. I would be so lost in this world if it wasn't for the greatest gift of all.

This week, our theme is "Digi Dimension."  We want to see some part of your image popped up and out. I love doing that.  It not only adds interest to your card or project, but thrills the recipient too.
