Happy Happy

Howdy y'all.  Welcome back for another peek at my creations.  This card uses a beautiful image from Anne Fenton.  She's so very talented.  I printed out the image on Neenah card stock and colored her with Spectrum Noir Pens.

She's all spiffied up and ready to party.  Nothing says hot like that little red dress.  And I love the fact that this woman isn't skinny and bony.  Not all of us are model thin.  I have some meat on my bones and like to see images that I can relate to.

I started with a black card base (Recollections) and added a layer of black, red and white striped DP from DCWV.  I did follow a sketch from Mojo Monday for this card. All of the DP is from DCWV and the black and red used for matting is from Recollections.  I printed out the sentiment from Annie's Little Footprints and cut it out with a 2" circle punch.  I did use my Nestabilities for the scalloped mats on both circles.

I added lots and lots of pearls after running the large striped circle through the D'vine Swirls EF.  I love pearls.  So classy.

Thanks for looking today.  Have a great night.  God bless y'all.

Under Arrest

Good Saturday Morning Friends.  I hope y'all are on the way to enjoying the weekend.  I have to go grocery shopping today so I wanted to get these posted before I left.

My first card for today features a Kenny K image.  She's a hottie too.

I started by printing out my image on Neenah card stock and coloring it with Chromatix pens by American Craft.  I used Copics and ShinHan Art markers for her skin.  I hand drew the wooden floor that she is sitting on and then cut out the part that was above the floor. I made the card base from Crumb Cake (SU) card stock and it measures 5" square.  I cut a piece of American Crafts DP for the background.  Looks kinda like wall paper right?  I used a few pop dots and put behind the upper part of this sheriff.  I printed out the sentiment from my word processor and matted it on a piece of Crumb Cake.  I added some red gems from Queen and Co. to finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope y'all have a great weekend.  God bless.

Best Wishes

Hello there friends.  How was your day?  It was pretty cold here today.  I can't wait until Spring.  I love Spring..the flowers, the butterflies, the birds..everywhere you look you can see God's love for us.  I just love it.

The card I have for this post makes me think of Spring.  The flowers, the butterflies and the bright colors.

I really like this patterned paper.  I think I am going to have to purchase another pack of  DCWV Glam Girl just for this DP.  I began this card with a 4.5"x4.5" Purple card base from HOTP.  I trimmed the DP down to 4.25" square.  I added a rub on from HOTP towards the bottom of the card so that the butterflies would stand out a little better.  All of the elements came from a HOTP Card Maker Kit that I bought last year.  I inked all the edges with Martha Stewart ink in Light Pink.  I added some Glitter Gel Pen to the flower and the middle butterfly.  I used pop dots between the layers of flowers and for the center butterfly.

I hope you feel a bit of Spring in the air after seeing this card.  Have a wonderful evening.  God bless.

Something a Little Different

Well, next Friday is Valentine's Day, so alot of the challenges this past week and this week have been for these types of cards.  Well, one of the challenge sites that I participate on was for anything but a square card.  I assumed that meant rectangle too, so I stepped way out of the box.

I made this little cutie for my husband.  I am going to put it in his lunch box on Friday.  I think he's going to be surprised.  I sure hope he doesn't get razzed for it.

Kinda sexy right?  I had found this corset pattern a few years ago and hadn't had a chance to use it.  Well, I finally found a use for it.  I used GP card stock for the base of the "card".  I used two different papers from DCWV for the corset and added a strip of Recollections red as a belt.  I used the same red and punched out corner pieces and lined them up along the top to look like red lace.  I added three large deep red flat back pearls in the center to finish it off.  I didn't want to add too many embellishments since it's going to work with my husband.  I sure hope he likes the little message I put on the back. ;0, I can be so bad sometimes..

I hope you all liked this little sexy note card.    I do believe it definitely qualifies for not a square.  Have a wonderful Wednesday.  God bless y'all.
