Word Art Wednesday

Hello there friends.  Today I have a card that I made for the Word Art Wednesday challenge.  This week, as always, the challenge is an Anything Goes, but you have the option of using the Scripture verse they picked.  This week it's Isaiah 41:13.

I decided to go for a black and white color scheme.  There is something so classy about those two colors together.  I pulled two papers from my stash (DCWV) in black and white for this card.  I printed out the word art fairly large because I wanted the Scripture to take precedence.  I wrapped a piece of black and white plaid ribbon around the bottom of the focal panel, matted it onto a piece of black Recollections card stock and adhered it to the card.  I added some crystal leaves, two white flowers, one black flower and a stick pin.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope y'all enjoyed this card.  Can't wait to see ya again.  God bless!

1 John 4:7

Good Morning Friends.  It's the weekend.  YIPPEE!!  I haven't felt too good the past couple of days.  I don't know if I had a stomach bug or what, but man..  I did manage to get a few cards made.

This card is using a sentiment from Word Art Wednesday as the focal image.

I used an oval die from Nestabilities to cut out the image and then inked it with Tattered Rose DI.  I used a sketch from the Outlawz to make this card on a SU Basic Black card base.  The DPs are from DCWV.  I added some flower gems, a pink swirl and three square gems as my embellies.  It was a quick, easy card.

Thank you for looking at my blog today.  May God bless y'all.

Jonah 2:2

Hello my friends.  I found this cool site during my searching for some new challenge blogs.  Shop Our Stash blog challenges you to use up your hoarded materials.  It's a great way to pull out things you haven't used in a while or have been hoarding for one reason or another. I participated in the challenge last week too.   This week's challenge was to use some of your oldest ribbon.

I made this one a get well card.  It seems I have needing alot of those lately.  This dang flu has everyone down and out.  I found this cute little Nurse Mouse online during one of my many searches for free digis.  I used my colored pencils and OMS to color the image.  I trimmed it down, rounded the edges and inked them in Bahama Blue by Memento.  I matted it onto a piece of stormy blue card stock by Colorbok.  The sentiment is from Dee's Bugaboo Boutique.  She has tons of Scripture Verses and Quotes on her site.  I found this one and thought it was very fitting for a get well card.  I did the same techniques to the sentiment as I did the focal image.  I used two pieces of scrap DP for the background.  They are both from DCWV.  I used a 6x6 card base made from Cornflower Blue from Colorbok.  The piece of blue glitter ribbon was hiding way down in the bottom of my blue ribbon bucket.  I thought the corners needed something extra so I added some cream colored flat back pearls to finish off this card.

I sure hope you liked this card.  Thanks so much for stopping in today and I pray blessings upon each and every one of you.  God bless you.
