Day 7 of 31

Welcome, Horrifying Hoppers,  to Day 7 of our 31 Days of Halloween Blog Hop sponsored by Smeared and Smudged.  Can you believe an entire week has gone by already?  Man, time flies when you are having a ball.   Let's see what we have for today's offering..how about a Vampiress?

This beauty is from Cuttlebug Cuties and her name is Alice.  She kinda looks like Alice from the Twilight series don'tcha think?  I used colored pencils and OMS on her and just did some simple matting and layering for this card.  I didn't  want a bunch of elements taking away from how beautiful the image is.  I used a Gold Metallic pen for her goblet.  The sentiment I just printed out from my word processing program.

Thanks so much for joining me today.  Remember to stop by Terra's blog for all the rules, sponsors, prizes and of course the winners from yesterday's Scavenger Hunt.  And, for those of you who get lost along the way, the entire blog roll will be posted on the right side all month.

I am going to enter this card into the Card Making' Mama's and V's Sweet Ideas challenges for this month.

Bloom Card

Well, I have one more for y'all this morning.  Thanks for hanging in with me.

This card uses a sentiment from Annabell's.  I enlarged it to take up most of the card front and die cut it with Labels 10 from Nestabilities.

For the back ground, I used five different DPs from the Colorbok Woodhaven collection.  I trimmed them down to 1"x5" and adhered them to a 5.25" square Gray SU card base.  After die cutting the sentiment, I used my Crop-a-dile to make two holes on each side to slide the ribbon through.  I actually like the bow this time.  I have a hard time making my bows look right, but this one turned out pretty well.  I didn't add any embellishments to this card so that it would follow the sketch for this week at Seems a Little Sketchy.

Thanks so much for hanging with me today.  Have a wonderful day.  God bless y'all.

Just Chicken In

Hey Chicks.  How are ya?  I have a cute little image from From The Heart Stamps, formerly Designed2Delight.

I started by printing off the image on Neenah card stock and coloring it with BIC Markers.  I trimmed it down and matted it on a panel of light purple and then on a panel of Dark Turquoise.  I made the card base from GP White card stock.  I added a piece of Turquoise ribbon from Details and Accessories from Hobby Lobby.  I used pop dots to add the focal image. Some gems from Queen and Co finished off the card.

Thanks for stopping in this morning.  God bless y'all.

Irish Dancers

Good evening friends.  Welcome back to my blog.  I appreciate you guys stopping in.  I have either seven or eight cards to upload tonight.  You would think I could come up with a better system.  Oh well.  I haven't been feeling very well.  Kierstynne and I both have allergy/sinus/cold things going on and have felt like roadkill for the past few days.  After this post, the posts are going to be fairly short.

The first card here uses two cute Irish dancers:

These cute little ladies are freebies from the Imagine That progressive monthly challenge.  I used BIC markers and Neenah Super Smooth White card stock to make these images.  The card base is More Mustard from SU and measures 5.5" square.  The Olive card stock also comes from SU.  The DP is DCWV.  I used the medium size LaLa Land Rose Die  and an EK Success 5 petal flower punch to make the roses.  I added a pearl (Joann's) to the center of them for some bling.  The green gems are from Queen and Co.

Thanks for stopping in tonight and I hope y'all will stay tuned for the next few posts to see what else I have created.  The last one I post tonight is a new style for me.  God bless y'all.

Happy Birthday

Well, I am so glad to see ya back.  I hope you like the card I have for you to see tonight.

I started this card with a yellow 6x6 card base from Colorbok. The image is from Sherry Baldy.  This is the first one that I have used.  I am finding more and more digital stamp artist that I am just falling in love with.  If I had to pick a favorite, I just couldn't.

I used my Neenah card stock and BIC markers to color this image.  I am still loving the Neenah.  As a matter of fact, I order some more today.  After coloring the image, I trimmed it down, rounded the corners and inked them with DI Vintage Photo before matting them on a panel of turquoise card stock from Recollections.  I rounded the corners of that panel also.  The DP is from Nicoles.  I am thinking that I got it at AC Moore for $1 per package.  There were 12 sheets in each package and there were five different sets.  I stocked up. :)  I made this card into a Z fold card with my little girl on the Z part and hanging over onto the inside of the card.  The sentiment and label are from Gina K Designs Labeled with Love.  I cut it out with scissors and inked the edges with Vintage Photo.  I added the same DP on the inside and then added a panel of white from SU for writing a greeting. The gems are from Queen and Co. and just kind of set it off.  That cute little rose brad in the corner is from The Paper Studio.

Thanks so much for taking the time out to come see what I have been up to.  Have a blessed night.

Jesus Loves You

Finally.  The last card for this batch.  I'm tired now, so as soon as I finish this and upload them to the challenge blogs, I am going to bed.  Well, the recliner anyway.

The images I used are from my collection of digi stamps and I am just too tired to go and look them up right now.  I will do that tomorrow and come back and update the blog.  I did color it with my colored pencils and Oms, though.

When you think of Valentine's Day, what do you think of?  Cupid?  Hearts? Candy?  The colors of red, pink or white?  I think that it's much more than what most people think it is.  I can't see just telling your significant other that you love them once a year.  You should tell them every day how much you love them and how special they are to you.  You never know when the last chance you will have will be.

For me, Valentine's Day is a day to take time to tell God how much you love Him and appreciate the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus.  That, to me, shows real love.  To lay down your life for a friend.  To endure the pain, anguish and humiliation that Jesus did just for me and you.

So, with that being said, the card I made for one of the challenges represents Jesus to me.  The theme was love so that's what I made.  It's just a little different.

I used a white card base from SU.  It's a 5.5" card.  The DP is from my stash and I placed the image a little further down on the card so that you can see the two crowns at the top.  Jesus is the King of Kings so I thought this was appropriate.  I inked all the edges with DI Vintage Photo ink.  The purple gems are from Queen and Co.

I hope you like this card.  It is the final one in the batch, so I'm off to try and get some sleep.  I hope y'all enjoy your day.  God bless y'all.
