Day 9

Yep, I did it again.  2 posts in one day.  I'm on the ball.  Welcome to Day 9 of the 100 Day Challenge over on SCS.  Yes, I am still behind.  I should be on Day 11.  I have the cards done, just haven't had a chance to post them.  Hopefully I can ge them up tonight or tomorrow.

My card for today is a triple duty card.  It's Day 9 for the card challenge, the CAS challenge, and the Ways to Use It challenge.  All of the challenge can be found HERE on SCS.  I figured I would knock out three of the challenges at one time.  If I would have thought it out a little more, I would have done seperate cards, then I would have been ahead of the 100 Days Challenge.  Such is life..

The stamp I used is from GINAK.  I love her stamps.  It's from the Journey set.  I colored it in with Spectrum Noir Pens.  The DP is from my stash as is the ribbon.  The CS is GP White.

Thanks for stopping by today and please leave a comment.  I love reading them and hearing feedback from ya'll.  Have a blessed day!

Day 8

Howdy friends!  Thanks for stopping by today to see my project.  I am so excited to be showcasing a new stamp from over at Queen Kat Designs.  Vikki has some wonderful new releases coming up so you should hop right over and check them out.  This little guy is called Elf Portrait and was designed by Trish Shufelt.   I am not sure how well you can see the expression on his little face but it sure is one of mischief.  I know he's up to something ;).  I colored him with Sakura Glitter pens because Christmas is all about sparkle and glitz right?  I used Spellbinders Nestabilities Dies to cut out the layers.  So, thanks for stopping by today and checking out my new project.  Hope you all have a blessed day!

Day 7

Hello again..Thanks for stopping by to take a gander at my latest creation.  I did this card for two different challenges.  The sketch challenge over at SCS and the Creative Freebie Challenge over at The Outlawz   You guys should check them out.  There is all kinds of cool things going on.  The deal is, you get two free digital images to start and you have two weeks to get at least one project done using at least one of the images.  I haven't used digital stamps and I have to tell ya, I think I like 'em.   Much cheaper than rubber or clear.  I don't think I will ever go completely digital though.  I like getting inky  and the feel and smell of the stamps, inks and papers.  Just a little quirk.

So, without further ado....my first entry into the Creative Freebie Challenge.
Ain't she purty??  I used paper from my stash and colored the image with colored pencils and odorless mineral spirits.  I added a tiny rhinestone in the middle of the bodice.  She even has her fingernails painted and lipstick on.  The hand fan at the top is a button from my stash.  I just snipped off the shank and added pop dots.

Thanks for looking :)

Kierstynne's Card

Hey there folks!  Ok, so this post 4 on the same day...I'm on a roll.  This isn't a card for my 100 day challenge.  I wanted to show ya'll how well my daughter does making cards on her own.  She loves to use my stuff to make cards.  She is very crafty and I think she gets it from her mama..lol  She made this card for her Sunday School teacher for her birthday.  I stamped the image for her so it would be a good impression for her to color.  She used colored pencils to color it in.  Then, so sweetly, she asked if she could use a rhinestone to make the dittle on the  i.  I couldn't resist letting her have one.  So, I hope you guys like it.  It's kinda hard to see where the background of the picture stops and the card begins because it's a plain white card.  It's regular size with the image right in the middle.

Thanks for stopping by and please leave some comments and let Kierstynne know what you think of her work.  She would love it!

Day 6

Hello there.  Can you believe it??  Three post in one day!  That's some kind of record for me.  This is Day 6 for the 100 day challenge.  It's a Love card for the challenge Make Your Momma Proud swap over on SCS.  I used a technique from GinaK and Stamp TV to do the mat for the focal image.  I used gold embossing powder around all the edges to simulate gold paper.  I like the way it came out.  Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you all have a blessed day!

Stamps:  Stampin' Up
Ink:  TCP Gold; TCP Red; Memento Tuxedo Black
Embossing Powder:  Gold

Day 5

Hello again.  Here is Day 5's card for the challenge.  It is for a swap entitled, Make Your Momma Proud: Anything Goes over on SCS.  All of the DP and CS is from my stash.  I am using up my scraps and stash, but it really doesn't seem to be getting any smaller..:)  The stamp set is from Stampin' Up.  I colored in the images with Sakura Glitter Pens.  Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you will start following my blog.  I would love to have more friends who check in.  Have a great day!

Day 4

Howdy friends!  I am so behind in my blogging.  I don't know how you ladies can keep up everyday..whew..But, I am trying to catch up.

This is Day 4 of the 100 days challenge.  It is a birthday card for my BFF's daughter who is turning 7.  I think it turned out pretty cute.  I added some Glossy Accents to the balloons and added clear sead beads.  I colored it in with my BIC markers and cut out the focal image (Stampendous' Changito) with Spellbinders.  The DP and CS are from my stash that I am trying very hard to use up.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Hope you enjoy the card.

Stamp: Stampendous Changito

Hope Card (Day 3)

Howdy folks!  I have another card with the beautiful Hope stamp by Renee LaVoie.  I have really enjoyed Renee's stamp.  My 8 year old has even enjoyed this mermaid stamp too.  I stamped the image for Kierstynne and she colored it in and made a card for her grandma in Virginia.    So Hope is getting alot of use around here.

For this card, I stamped Hope in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored her with colored pencils and odorless mineral spirits.  I wanted to do something different with this one, so I used Glossy Accents on her bra and tail.  I don't know if you can see it in the picture, but it's shiny like fish scales.  I used Spellbinders to cut her out.  I left the die on the image and used Broken China Distress Ink and inked around the edges.  The DP is from my stash and the cardbase is Crumb Cake by Stampin' Up.  I added some rhinestones, cause you just gotta have bling.

All in all, I think she turned out pretty cool.  Stay tuned for stamped images for the July Release over at Queen Kat Designs .

100 Day Challenge Day 2

Howdy all.  I am a little behind in my posting.  I finally had a chance to sit down and update my blog for Day 2 of the 100 Cards in 100 Days challenge.  This card was made for a challenge over on SCS for Teapot Tuesdays.  I used a Studio G stamp for the background paper and stamped it with Adirondak Cranberry ink.  I then cut the paper  in half, but offset it a little.  I rounded the inside corners.  The cardbase is GinaK Wine with Everything and I used a bit of the same paper to make the border strip which I punched with a Fiskar's Scallop.  The butterfly is GinaK Electic Summer and I used a Sakura Glitter Pen to color in the stripes.  The little greeting is from my stash.  Thanks for looking and keeping up with my 100 days.  Comments are always welcome and I love to read them!

Mud Pies #2

Howdy!  Today, I have another cute card using the Carla Morrow stamp, Mud Pies. (HERE)   She is just so dang cute I can't get enough of her.  I changed her up a bit this time though.  Instead of making a baby card, I used her to make a birthday card.   I stamped my little cutie with Memento Tuxedo  Black ink and colored her in using Spectrum Noir pens.  I tried to highlight the fairy this time, but I am not sure how she is going to come out in the picture.  I then fussy cut her out and used pop dots to lift her off the card front.  The greetings are a couple of stamps I had in my collection and thought the cutie pie stamp went rather nicely with Mud Pie.   The greetings are stamped on GP White cardstock.  The cardstock panels are from my scrapstash and are olive and turquoise.  The strip of patterned paper at the bottom is from K&CO and I used my Fiskar's Scallopped Border punch on it.  I think it turned out just a Sweet as Pie...lol.
Why don't you head on over to  Queen Kat Designs  and check out all of the wonderful stamps she has in her store.  There is a little something for everyone.  Stay tuned next Saturday for another card using Hope the Mermaid.  (click here for Hope)  Thanks for checking out my blog.  I would love to hear what you think of my projects so feel free to leave a comment.  I would love it!

100 Cards/100 Days Challenge

Howdy friends.  I have started a new challenge over on SCS.  I am playing along with the 100 cards in 100 days.  The deal is, I cannot buy any new product except adhesive until I have finished the 100.  This is my own personal addition to the challenge.  There is one exception though.  I am hoping to hit the Hobby Lobby down near the Hershey area when we go on vacation in July.  Since we don't have any LSS here in our area, and I have never been to a Hobby Lobby, I really want to go.  So, my personal challenge is to use what I have to make the cards.  I really, really need to use up my stash.  If you scroll down a few posts you will see why..LOL.  I am also going to try and use up some scraps.  I have way too many of those too.

Anyway, I started the challenge yesterday.  I am  a bit behind some of the other ladies in the challenge, so I need to play catch up.  I made 24 cards yesterday but am only counting them as 4 towards the challenge.  I made these for a swap so each one had to have 4 in it.   Thanks for looking.

This is the first one.  The card base is GinaK Chocolate Brown.  I used a piece of Turquoise cardstock from my scrap stash and the DP is DCWV.  The turquoise cardstock was border punch with a Fiskars bracket punch.  I stamped  the image (Inkadinkadoo)  in TCP Chocolate Brown on Stampin' Up Very Vanilla.  I tore the bottom edge of the stamped images as well as the mat, which is a piece of brown cardstock from my scrap stash.  The butterfly is from K&Co Susan Winget collection.
This is Butterfly #2.  The cardbase is Stampin' Up Whisper White.  The DP is from K&CO Susan Winget Collection.  The turquoise strip is from my stash collection.  The huge butterfly is from the Susan Winget collection, too.  I stamped the greeting in Colorbox Catseye ink.  I am not sure which company the stamp is from.  I got it at Ollies, which is an outlet store in my area.
On to Dragonfly #1.  Again, the patterned paper is Susan Winget.  The cardbase is Stampin' Up Crumb Cake.  I just love the kraft color.  I have been hoarding it because I promised myself I wouldn't buy any more product until I used up some of my stash.  Dang it !!  I used a shipping tag for the greeting which is from GinaK's Friends Set. I stamped it with Colorbox Catseye Purple.   I tied it on with a piece of purple ribbon from Michael's.  The dragonfly is from the Susan Winget collection.
Dragonfly #2.  I used the same collection from Susan Winget to make this card.  The image is from GinaK's Springtime collection.  I stamped it in Broken China Distress Ink then stamped over it with Versamark and embossed it with clear embossing powder.  I used a Fiskars scallopped border punch for the bottom and inked around the edges with Broken China Distress Ink.  I mounted it on a piece of Olive Cardstock from my scrapstash.  The greeting is from the GinaK set, Eclectic Summer Sayings.  It is also stamped in Broken China Distress Ink.  I mounted it on a piece of the olive cardstock and punched holes in each side using my Cropadile.  I added a piece of sheer ribbon from my stash to each side and wrapped it around the back.  And, again, the dragonfly is from the Susan Winget collection by K&CO.  I just love K&CO.
So, those are my first four cards for the 100 days challenge.  If you would like to join the challenge, please click  HERE  .  Thanks so much for checking out my projects and stay tuned for Day 2.

Hope

Hello my crafty friends.  Today I have another card to show you.  This stamp is from Renee LaVoie and it is called Hope.  You can find this beautiful mermaid and all of Renee's other beautiful stamps at http://katstamps.com/home.htm.   I stamped Hope with Memento's Tuxedo Black.  I then used my Spectrum Noir pens to color her in.  I used a Sakura pen to add some sparkle to some of her scales and her armband.  What mermaid isn't complete without some bling right, so I gave her a belly button rhinestone.  The background is chalked to resemble the water that she lives in.  The beautiful DP is from Queen Vikki, as is the ribbon.  This is a portrait card that opens from the bottom.  I think she turned out rather nice.  Thanks for looking and hop on over to Queek Kat Designs and take a look at all the wonderful stamps she has for sale.  You won't be disappointed!

Mud Pies

Howdy!  How's all my crafty friends doing today?  Well, I have been hard at work this past week trying to get cards made, projects finished, and household things under control.  I have finished my first project for Queen Kat Designs.  I was so excited when I received this little stamp.  How cute is she??  I had to improvise the way I stamped her because I didn't have any EZ Mount foam so I had to use double sided tape.  The impression was good, but it will be better next time.  So, here she is...The new Carla Morrow stamp, Mud Pies.

She is the cutest little baby girl dragon playing in the mud with a little fairy.  Boy, she made a mess.  Mud everywhere.  But, that's half of the fun little girls have when making mud pies.  So, to make this card, I cut a 12x12 piece of Colorbok pink cardstock down to 4 1/4" by 11" and scored it at 5 1/2" so that it will open vertically.  The patterned paper is from HOTP.  It is cut at 4"x5 1/4" and centered on the card base.  I used the same pink cardtock for the large mat.  The green cardstock mat is also from Colorbok.  I stamped little Mud Pies on Stampin' Ups Whisper White.  I used Spectrum Noir markers from  http://www.paperwishes.com/  to color her in.  These pens are fantastic.  They could be called generic copics.  They are not near the price of copics and do a great job.  Next I inked the edges of Mud Pies with Vintage Photo Distress Ink by Tim Holtz.  I then mounted the image on the green cardstock.  I used pink and green embroidery floss to wrap around the image.  I then mounted the whole thing on the pink cardstock and used foam tape to attatch it to the base.  The sentiment, "Mommy's Little Mess Maker" was printed out from my computer using the French Script Font size 16.  I added green, pink and cream colored pearls to the corners and that is my finished card.  This would be cute to use for a new baby card.  Thanks for stopping by and I hope you check back for more projects with stamps  from http://katstamps.com/home.htm
