Clear It Out Challenge #14

Hello there.  It's Tuesday and everyone on the east coast is preparing for the worst snowstorm in years. They have changed our totals three or four different times.  The worst so far is 16-32 inches.  Only the good Lord knows exactly how many inches of snow we are going to get, so I'm headed to the store tomorrow to pick up some stuff just in case our power goes out.

Today starts the new challenge at Clear It  Out.
Our theme: Valentine's Day
Our Stash: Flowers
Our Sponsor: Stamp Art by Kathryn

I used the cute Luv U Pengi to make my card.  I printed off two copies of the image and fussy cut the two penguins out and decoupaged them.  I used three of Heidi Swaps color it roses and some Recollection flowers to meet the challenge.

I hope y'all will stop by and enter into our new challenge.  You could win some images from Stamp Art as your prize if you are the winner.

Have a wonderful Tuesday, keep warm and God bless y'all.

Your Love Keeps Lifting Me

Hello there..again.  Thanks so much for staying with me tonight to see what I have created.  I have done one more Valentine's Day card.

Yep, that's right.  No, your eyes aren't playing tricks on you.  There is no image that was colored with my trusty Crayolas.  LOL.  This one uses a fabric flower and a wooden button as the focal image.

I know it looks like the sentiment is crooked, but it's not really.  It's supposed to look that way because of what it says.

Thanks so much for keeping up with me today.  I hope y'all have a great night and God bless.

Valentine's with Ike's World

Hello y'all.  Thanks for stopping in tonight.  I have a couple of post to make for tonight.  I've been making some last minute Valentine's Day cards.  I need to get a couple in the mail tomorrow.

We are in line for another snow storm on Wednesday.  I sure hope they either change their minds about the totals or that it misses us all together....16-28 inches.  Really??  I am not looking forward to that.  I sure hope the good Lord spares us.

My first card uses an image from Ike's World.  For those of you who have used Ike's images, y'all know that she can be a bit off kilter with her images.  So, with that in mind, I decided to make an off kilter Valentine's Day card.

A bit different, right?  My daughter's best friend loves horses.  She has started taking riding lessons and is trying very hard talking her parents into buying her a horse.  It's not working very well.  I told my daughter that she could give this card to her BFF for Valentine's Day.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope y'all enjoy the rest of your evening.  God bless.

Monday's with Digi Darla

Good Monday Morning.  It's back to the daily grind after a great weekend.  My husband and I attended a retirement party for one of his boss' this  past Saturday.  It was a great time.  Sonny will definitely be missed at my husband's place of employment.  It's back to school for us too...man, sometimes I hate Mondays..:)

Today starts a new challenge at Digi Darla.  We are up to challenge #101.  Our theme this week is a "Copy Cat" challenge.  That means that everyone who wants to participate needs to jump over to the Digi Darla blog and download the free image.  Make a card, project, scrapbook page, etc using that image.   Here's my take on it:

It is a very simple image this time and doesn't need alot of embellishments and such.  I went pretty CAS this time.

Thanks so much for stopping in to see me today.  I hope y'all will decide to enter a project in the challenge this week.  Have a wonderful Monday and God bless.

Birthday Wheel

Good Afternoon.  I hope y'all are enjoying your Sunday.  It's still cold here and we are supposed to get another 3-4 inches of snow today. :(

I finally joined my first monthly stamp club.  I have been wanting to do this for a while.  I have been researching the different clubs out there and I finally settled on one.   I decided to go with The Stamps of Life by Stephanie Barnard.  I love her stamps and you can chose to join either the stamp club of the stamp and die club.  I chose the stamp and die club.  Each new set of stamps that you will get each month has coordinating dies to go with it. I really liked that idea.  As you know, I do alot of fussy cutting and having the dies is going to make it much easier for me.

I have two sets so far.  I have made a card from each set.

The first one is Popcorn2stamp and it comes with one image of a popcorn container, three solid and three outlines of popcorn pieces and 7 sentiments plus an oval outline stamp.

Isn't this hilarious?  I love it.  I stamped and die cut all the popcorn pieces, the container and the sentiment.  All of the 7 sentiments will fit into the oval.  I used papers from Snap by Simple Stories and some black and white baker's twine to make this card.

There is also a companion sentiment set Word4popcorn which has 14 sentiments and three polka dotted popcorn pieces.

The second set that I have gotten is called Spinner2stamp.  This one comes with the spinner base, the triangle shape, the spinner, 8 sentiments and 4 images to add to the triangles.

I stamped the base and spinner with Memento Tuxedo Black and die cut them.  I then used different shades of Memento Ink and stamped 6 of the triangles, stamped the sentiment and images and die cut them.  I used my Xron Tape thingy to add the triangles.  I used a white brad to attach the spinner.  The balloons are from a sticker set that I have had for a couple of years now.  Nothing like using up that stash. :)

The companion set for this stamp set is called More Spinner Ideas 2 Stamp and has 16 sentiments, a spinner with heart in the middle and three triangles with patterns.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I can't wait to see what next month's club set is.  Have a wonderful had and God bless.

Challenges:
Digi Sketch--Use Green
Cardz4Guyz-#4 Use Spots and Stripes (the stripes are in the spinner and on the balloons)

Penny's Paper Crafty--#163 Something New, Something Old (New-stamp sets; Old-brad and baker's twine)

Hey there.  Smile, I have one more for y'all tonight before I call it quits for the night/early morn.

Delicious Doodles DT Call

Yep, that's right. I can't resist.  I am so in love with Teri's images that I just had to apply to her DT call. Here are three of my most favorite projects that I have made with images from the Delicious Doodles store.
I love the way the lilies turned out on this card.  I love butterflies too, so this image was perfect for me.  My mother too, loves butterflies because they are the symbol for LUPUS and my family is overrun with it.

This card was made for the 31 Days of Halloween Blog Hop last year sponsored by Smeared and Smudged.  I love the look in her eyes.

And this last one has to be my most favorite of all.  I used three different images from the DD store.  I used pop dots to make the frame stand out from the image.  I love this bride.

So there you have it folks.  My entries for the DT call.  If you are interested in applying, please click here to go to Teri's blog and read all the instructions and to enter your link.  Wish me luck!

I Love You This Much!!!

Happy Friday.  Are y'all as happy to see Friday as I am?  It's been a long week, at least it seems that way.  Tonight my husband is going with his father to our area's annual Venison Dinner.  They get to have all kinds of food and they always have a speaker.  This year they are speaking on Bears in Our Area.  It's nice for the men in our area to be able to get together and fellowship.  So, while they are gone, my daughter, my MIL, my GMIL and I are going out for Chinese and hitting Five Below and maybe Hobby Lobby.

On to the reason y'all actually stopped by.  Since it's Friday, that means a new challenge at QKR Stampede.  This week, our theme is Hearts and Kisses.  Yep, we've jumped on the Valentine's bandwagon.

I love turtles, among many other things, so I decided to use this little man whose been kissed.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope y'all have a great Friday and God bless y'all.
