Good Monday Morning. I hope y'all are ready to start a new week. And what better way than to join in the new challenge for Digi Darla. This week our theme is "Buttons". I don't use enough buttons. I keep forgetting that I have them.
The card I made for this challenges uses the Classic Truck from Digi Darla. The sentiment is also DD.
The card base is a premade one from The Paper Studio that I bought at Hobby Lobby for $1.79 for a pack of 8. I added two strips of DP from DCWV that I cut into banner style. I matted the sentiment on a piece of Chocolate Chip (SU) card stock after inking the edges with DI Vintage Photo.
The focal image was printed on Neenah Super Smooth White card stock and colored with Chromatix pens from American Crafts. I fussy cut it out and used pop dots to adhere it to the card.
To finish off the card I added 5 neutral buttons, 3 at the top and 2 at the bottom.
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope y'all will join us at Digi Darla this week. God bless y'all.
Journey along with me as I travel the road of my life. It may not be always an exciting journey, but it is mine and I will live it to the fullest.

Irish for the Day
Hi there. I just got some really bad news. Our neighbor and friend was killed last night in a car accident. He hit the guardrail and the Jeep flipped and rolled and he was ejected from the car. Please pray for the Chappel family. They just lost their dad at the end of last year. Our friend was suffering from blood clots in his legs, so I am really hoping that one broke loose and hit his heart. I would hate to think that he was conscious when he was thrown from the car. Thanks for your prayers.
The card I have for y'all features a stamp from Dustin Pike. I love his little dragons. They are so dang cute. I printed out the image on Neenah card stock and colored him with BIC markers and Spectrum Noir.
I used a new technique that I watched on StampTV with Gina K. You use your smallest Nestabilities, any shape, and place them randomly on your DP or card stock. I used a piece of green vellum. Cut a piece of card stock or DP the same size as the one with the holes and once you get them cut out in a pattern, adhere the cut piece to the second piece. You can run both of them through an embossing folder if you like. I used an Argyle pattern folder for the second piece of DP. I then matted that onto another piece of DCWV DP. The whole thing is placed on a Very Vanilla card base from SU. I die cut the image with oval Nestabilities and inked the image with DI Wild Honey. The scalloped mat is Mint Green card stock from Gina K. I added three buttons from my stash. I stamped the greeting from Studio G with Versa Magic Spanish Olive.
Thanks for stopping in today. I hope y'all have a great day! God bless y'all.

Spring Fairy
It's me again. LOL. Thanks for stopping in this morning. I have a cute little fairy card for y'all this morning.
This little cutie is the Shamrock Fairy from Digi Darla. I used my BIC markers and Glitter Gel Pens to add some color to her. I fussy cut her out and after adding the elements to the card I used pop dots to add her.
The card base is made from Mint card stock from Gina K. It measures 5.5"square. Both of the DPs are from EK Success' Disney Line. The flourishes and doily are from my stash. I used three flower gems from Me and My Big Ideas.
Thanks for stopping in this morning. I appreciate it. Have a wonderful day. God bless y'all.

Thank You Mom
Good Morning again. Thanks for stopping in today. I hope you enjoy your visit.
The showcase card uses a couple of images from Fred She Said. I used my Spectrum Noir pens to add some color to the images.
I decided to use a purple/green combo for this card. I think this has to be one of my favorite color schemes..along with pink/green, pink/brown, pink/black and turquoise/brown.
I printed off the images on Neenah card stock and colored them in. I then fussy cut the top layer of flowers and the top butterfly. I used a Nestabilities circle die to cut out the main image. I used a piece of Colorbok Lavender card stock to make the scalloped circle with the Nestabilities. I used pop dots to add the flower layer and the butterfly.
The card begins with a Lavender card base from Colorbok measuring 6" square. I don't know why I am on a square kick, but I have been making alot of them lately. I then cut some DP from K and Co. and some purple and green card stock from Colorbok in 1/8th and 1/4th inch increments and layered them alternating between card stock and DP. I wrapped a purple satin ribbon around the middle and tied a bow, the best one I have ever tied, to the left side. I then used pop dots to add the focal image. I used Versa Magic Plumeria ink to stamp the greeting (Studio G) onto white card stock. I then fussy cut the sentiment and added to the bottom left. I added some purple flat back pearls to finish off the card.
I hope you find this card pleasing. I really like the way it turned out. Thanks for popping in today. Have a great day. God bless y'all.

Mr. Fix It
Good Morning friends. It's early here in NE PA and I am up..Imagine that. I am so not a morning person, but that insomnia is a pain in the butt.
The card I have for you uses an image from Mo Manning called Mr. Fix It. I enjoyed using this image and have a few more by Mo to do. Gotta love that Mummu.
Say hello to my Mr. Fix It. He looks ready for anything, doesn't he? I began by printing the image on Neenah card stock and coloring in the image using Chromatix, Copics and a Metallic Silver Gel Pen. I then fuss cut out the image.
I made a card base measuring 6" square from Brown card stock from Colorbok. I then cut a panel of striped DP from DCWV My Guy stack. I made four small pennants from DCWV DP and card stock from SU. I glued on the pennants, then added the striped DP. I cut a panel of mottled green DP from DCWV and a panel of Gray card stock from SU that I made into a pennant. I ran the gray card stock through my Retro Circles Embossing Folder. I also ran the striped DP through the Swiss Dot EF before adding it to the card. I glued the green panel and gray pennant on to the card and then trimmed down a piece of deep red card stock from DCWV and added it horizontally. I die cut a large circle with my Nestabilities from Turquoise card stock from Recollections. I added that to the middle of the card. The Mr. Fix It greeting was a tag that came in the My Guy stack from DCWV. I used a Nestabilities to die cut it also. The final step was to use pop dots and add Mr. Fix It to his card.
I hope y'all enjoyed this card. Stay tuned for some cards this morning. Have a wonderful Saturday. God bless y'all.

Guest Designer Spot
Good morning friends. Today I am posting as the Guest Designer for Paper Crafting World's Dessert Fridayz. I was so very excited to learn that my "Soda"lightful card had won.
The card that I made for my GD spot uses the Victorian Bear digi stamp. I used my BIC markers to add some color to this sweet little bear. I used my colorless blender pen to add some texture to her dress.
I fussy cut her out after coloring and used pop dots to add her to the card. The card base is a Chocolate Chip (SU) 5" square card. I added some beautiful sunflower DP from DCWV as the background. I used my Nestabilities to die cut some circles and adhered them to the right side of the card. The green strip of DP is from American crafts. I added some buttons and two sunflower stickers to finish it off.
Thank you so much for stopping by today to see what I made. I hope y'all have a great Friday. God bless y'all.

Feeling Sketchy #49
Thanks for coming back. I know I have to find another way of posting all these cards so that you guys aren't sitting here for an hour. I get into my mojo groove and forget about everything else except making cards. Oh well, maybe one day I will find a better system.
The card I have for you uses this weeks sketch from Feeling Sketchy.
This cute little owl is one of the first free digis I ever downloaded. At that time, I wasn't keeping track of who designed them. If anyone knows whose image this is, please let me know so that I can give proper credit.
I colored this image with Chromatix pens after printing it off on Neenah card stock. I made the card base from SU Chocolate Chip and it measures 5" square. The DP is from American Crafts and is cut 1/4th inch smaller than the card base. I used a piece of mottled green DP from DCWV for the large diamond shape. I ran it through the Woodgrain Embossing Folder and because the DP was thin, it embossed very deeply and really gave it the look of a tree. I used a scalloped rectangle for the brown panel. I used my Nestabilities to cut out the squares.
After coloring the image, I inked it with DI Vintage Photo and added it to the center of the card. I stamped this cute greeting from Studio G with Versafine Onyx Black ink, trimmed it, inked the edges and matted it on a small panel of Chocolate Chip CS. I used pop dots to add the sentiment.
To finish up the card, I added tons of gems from Queen and Co.
Thanks for stopping in tonight/today. I hope you enjoy this little card. God bless y'all.

Love
Howdy there friends. Welcome back. It's nice to see ya. I have a very simple, cute, small card for ya tonight.
This one is another CAS card. Wow..two in one night. Can you believe it? I started this little card with a Basic Black (SU) card base which measures 4.25" square. I added a panel of black and red striped DP to the bottom of the card. The sentiment, which was printed on Neenah card stock, is from Dee's Bugaboo Boutique. I love her work. She has tons and tons of Scripture word art..and the best part..it's free. She does an amazing job. I took a red Chromatix pen and colored the word LOVE. I matted the sentiment on a panel of black card stock and added it to the card. I used a Nestabilities circle die to cut the circle out of DCWV DP. I added the circle and then a cute little black bow which I did some pen work on with a white gel pen. I added faux stitching around the edges to finish it up.
Thanks so much for hanging out with me tonight. God bless y'all.

Just A Note
Welcome back. Sit a spell. Grab a cup of coffee or big glass of iced tea and see what I have for y'all.
I used a sketch to make this CAS card. I don't do alot of these 'cause I love the stuff. But every now and again it's nice to change gears.
I started out with a 5" square Crumb Cake card base from SU. I used three different patterned papers (DCWV) for the back ground. They are cut at 4"x1.25". I added a lime green brad from my stash to the top of each panel.
The sentiment is my focal image and it's from Beccy Muir. I used a green colored pencil to add color to just the pears. I matted it on a panel of Mint Green from Gina K and used pop dots to add it to the card.
That's it. I think it took me all of 5 minutes once I picked out my papers. Very simple.
Thanks for stopping in today/tonight. I hope y'all enjoyed the stay. God bless y'all.

Well, it's great to "see" y'all here at Em's Thoughts. I truly am so grateful to y'all for keeping tabs on me and leaving such wonderful comments. I love reading each and every one.
The card I have for you this time features a Kenny K image. Yep, I do believe he is quickly becoming one of my favorites. I used this one before, but changed her up quite a bit for this card.
I used black and white for this image. I'm not good with black hair yet or she would have had it. So, she has to suffer with being a brunette. I used my BIC markers to add the color to this image after printing her off on Neenah card stock. I used black and gray to get the color of her dress. I added a bit of white gel pen for highlights. I like using the white pen to give highlights but sometimes it's just a bit too bright. I found out that if you take your colorless blender and run lightly over the line made by the gel pen that it lightens it without removing it. One of the challenges I am entering this card in is for distressing. So, I took the image, tore the edges and inked it heavily with DI Vintage Photo.
I made the card base from SU Basic Black and it measures 6" square. The back ground paper I made myself by inking up the D'vine Swirls embossing folder with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and running it through my Cuttlebug. It gives it a Letterpress pattern. Thank God for youtube. I learn alot by spending hours on there. :) The DP is from DCWV.
Adding some white pearls, flowers from Petaloo and some black lace finished off the card. I didn't add a sentiment to this one because I wanted the sketch to show through as well as the focus be on the image.
Thanks for stopping by today/tonight. Have a wonderful Friday. God bless y'all.

My Lucky Charm
Welcome to my blog today. Thanks so much for stopping in. I am so sorry for the short posts yesterday. I am feeling much better today. I have six cards tonight and I am going to blog each one, not just give supplies. Thanks for bearing with me through my illness and such short posts yesterday. I truly appreciate it.
My first card features a paper piecing bear who is just way too cute!!
Didn't I tell ya. He's so cute. He is a Cloud 9 Design. I printed him out on Neenah Super Smooth White card stock and fussy cut out all the elements. I added some Stickles to the shamrock before I added his hands and attached it to the card. The only thing I changed about the way the image came was that I cut the sentiment. It wouldn't fit on my card, so I improvised. I also added some Glitter gel pen to the word Lucky. The antennae and the hearts are also glittered.
I made the card base from Mint Green from Gina K Designs. It measures 5" square. I added a panel of Basic Black from SU and then my DP from American Crafts. I added a couple of black flourishes for accent.
I hope you like this cute little guy. Thanks again for stopping in tonight/today. God bless y'all.

Goth Bride
Hi there peeps. This is my last post for the night. I was kind of out of my element with this card. It is the first card I am entering into a new challenge site, Haunted Design House. The last few challenges were all about Edgar Allen Poe and Guardians and I wasn't too sure what to do with those, but I think I rocked this challenge.
Yep, it's a little different than most of my cards, ain't it? I kinda like it though. I used an image from Delicious Doodles called Gothic Bride. I used a variety of markers to add color to this image: Copics, Spectrum Noir and ShinHan. I also used some Glitter Gel pens to add sparkle. I used black and burgundy card stocks from Bazzill and DP from DCWV and K and CO. The flourishes, flowers, lace and die cut are from my stash. I added some Ruby Slipper Stickles to the flowers for some added bling.
Even though this is a little bit different from my norm, I hope y'all liked it. Thanks for hanging with me through these last few cards. Have a great night. God bless y'all.
