Beautiful

Good morning.  Happy President's Day.  Kierstynne is off from school today so I am going to use the time to do some laundry and get crafty.

My card for today uses a digi image from Saturated Canary.  I used my new Neenah paper and Spectrum Noir pens.  I also used some glitter gel pens and a white gel pen to do some highlights.

Isn't she cute?  I enjoyed using this image and look forward to using some more from Saturated Canary.  I started out making a card base with a chocolate brown from Colorbok.  I made it 6x6.  I matted the image on the same chocolate brown.  I added a strip of lace and a strip of pearls (Jo Ann's) to the left side of the image.  The sentiment is from Doodle Pantry and I matted that on pink card stock from Recollections.  The DP is from SEI Chocolat.   I used a sketch from Mojo Monday to make the card.  I added two little pearls from Queen and Co. to the sentiment.

The flower is one that I just learned to make by watching a video on youtube.  I took a 12 inch piece of box pleated trim, wound it around my fingers and used my hot glue gun to keep it in place.  I punched out a 1 inch circle and added that to the bottom to help keep the rose in shape.  I added a Paper Studio brad to the center of the rose.  They are so easy to make and they look fantastic.   My sweet husband took me to Hobby Lobby on Saturday and I found some rolls of box pleated ribbon for $1.74 on sale.  I bought four different colors so I am going to be making some flowers.  I think I am going to try different sizes.

Thank you for stopping in today.  I pray y'all have a wonderful day.  God bless.

A Friend Loves at All Times

I'm back again with another card for y'all.  This is the last one for now.  I promise.  Maybe later on tonight I might have another one or two or ten...lol

This cute little guy is from Meljens Digis.  And the sentiment is from Dee's Bugaboo Boutique. If you are looking for some wonderful Christian sentiments, check her out...HERE

When I was first beginning this card, I thought to myself..UH OH..you picked the wrong color scheme.  I didn't like it.  But, the more I looked at it and added the flowers in the corners, I began to like it more and more.   I used my Neenah card stock and love the way the bear turned out.  I also pulled out my  #1 favorite die..my rose die.  I am addicted to this die.  It makes my roses look so much better.

I started out with a white card base from HOTP.  I added a piece of mustard yellow card stock from Colorbok.  The DP is from Heidi Grace's One Fine Day pack.  I added some Glitter Gel Pen for some sparkle. The die cut leaves were a gift from my special friend, Jan who is Precious Kitty's Creations.  Thanks Jan.  I added some pearls to the center of the roses to finish them off.  I used my Nestabilities to cut out the sentiment and the circles.

Thanks again y'all for taking the time to see what I have created.  God bless y'all.

New Mercies

Good Morning friends.  I hope y'all are enjoying your Saturday.  It's 4:15 am in the morning here, so I'm sure most of you aren't up yet.  I haven't gone to bed yet.  The Sandman past right by my house again.

Today's card uses a digi from A Day for Daisies.

Isn't this just a sweet little image.  I am loving my new Neenah card stock.  I used my BIC markers on this image too.  Love, love, love it..  The sentiment is from Doodle Pantry.  They have some wonderful Christian sentiments on their site..HERE.  They also have lots of Freebies for you to try.

The card base is a nice chocolate brown from HOTP.  The DP is from DCWV.  I added some blue gems to finish it off.

Thanks so much for taking a look.  God bless y'all.

Happy Birthday

Good Morning.  I am enlarging my text size for my mother.  She has a hard time seeing, but loves to look at my blog.  She can see the cards, but can't read the words, so I'm trying to help her out.  Thanks for being so understanding.

My card for this post is a birthday card.  It's another square card, which I seem to be kinda hooked on lately.

I have been told that the card stock you use when coloring with alcohol markers makes all the difference, but I wasn't so sure.  Well, let me tell ya..it's so very true.  I just received a pack of Neenah Super Smooth White card stock and I couldn't believe the difference it made.  My colors blended together so much smoother.  I think I may be set now.  Can you buy this card stock by the case??  It wasn't expensive either.  $3.95 for 25 sheets.  Very reasonable.

I used a Broken Box Stock image for this card.  I colored it in with BIC Markers and Glitter Gel pens.  To make the card, I started with a Dark Blue card base from Gina K.  I added a Yellow panel from Recollections.  The DP is from Heidi Grace's One Sunny Day pack.  I matted the cake image on a piece of medium blue from Recollections and after adding a piece of blue Offray ribbon, I used pop dots to adhere the image to the front of the card.  Some gems from Queen and CO. finished it off.

Thanks so much for taking time out of your day to stop by my blog.  I truly appreciate it.  God bless y'all.

Key to My Heart

Hello again y'all.  Thanks for stopping in.  The card I have for you today was fun to make.  I got in there and got my hands all inky.  I enjoyed making this one.

I started out with a Gray  card base from SU.  I added a Pink panel from Recollections.  The script background is from QKR Stampede.  I sized it to 4.25" x 5"  and trimmed it down once I printed it.  I used quite a few different DI to distress it.  (Peeled Paint, Rusty Hinge, Broken China, Walnut Stain, Tea Dye)  I just kept adding layers of ink until I liked the way it looked.  The heart, key and sentiment are from Shelly's Images.  I used a BIC marker to color in the heart and key then started layering on the DI.  I tied a piece of pink ribbon to the key and slid it through the key hole in the heart.  I matted the sentiment on the same pink card stock after inking it with DI Vintage Photo.  I like the distressed, vintage look this card has.

Thanks for stopping by to visit.  Come back now, ya hear!  God bless y'all.

Good Morning Friends.  It's the weekend.  YIPPEE!!  I haven't felt too good the past couple of days.  I don't know if I had a stomach bug or what, but man..  I did manage to get a few cards made.

This card is using a sentiment from Word Art Wednesday as the focal image.

I used an oval die from Nestabilities to cut out the image and then inked it with Tattered Rose DI.  I used a sketch from the Outlawz to make this card on a SU Basic Black card base.  The DPs are from DCWV.  I added some flower gems, a pink swirl and three square gems as my embellies.  It was a quick, easy card.

Thank you for looking at my blog today.  May God bless y'all.

Sweet Birthday

Welcome friends.  I have another sweet card for you guys today.  I used a sentiment oval from Beyond the Fringe as the focal image for this one.  I used my Sizzix die called Leafy Branch to make the two die cuts in Brown from Recollections.   I ran the Kraft (Recollections) panel through the D'vine Swirls embossing folder.  I added a piece of velvet Ric rack trim across the  Kraft panel.

The card base is SU Red Riding Hood.  I added a panel of Chocolate Chip (SU) then added the Kraft panel.  I tucked the branches under the ribbon and used my Zig two way glue pen to tack them down.  Some flat back pearls finished off the card.

Thanks for stopping in today.  I hope to see you back soon.  God bless y'all.

Howdy y'all.  Card #8 is a cutie.  She is another one of Heather Valentin's images.  I think she's such a cutie pie and her little friend is adorable too.

Ain't that just the cutest little bunny you ever did see?  I think he is.  Or is it she is?  Who knows.  I used my colored pencils for this image.  I used an older sketch from a challenge I did a while ago to make this one.  I started with a Blue card base from Recollections in a 5" x 5" size.  I added a panel of Red from Recollections and a panel of Brown from Recollections.  I printed off the image on GP card stock.  I rounded the corners of the image and the side DP pieces which are from DCWV.   The little hearts in the corner are a digi from Anne Fenton.  I did add some glitter gel pen to highlight the hearts.

I hope you enjoyed my creations.  Thanks for stopping by.  God bless y'all.

Welcome back for card #7.  This card is made for a progressive challenge over on Designed 2 Delight.  If you use the image for the month, enter your card, you will receive the next month's free image.  Here's the free image and the card I made from it.

This one came out a little blurry too.  But, y'all can get the gist of it.  I used a   piece of Real Rose card stock from SU for the card base.  I then added a panel of DP from DCWV Glam Girl pack.  I added  a strip of light pink from DCWV down the middle so that the back ground wouldn't be so busy.  I printed off the sentiment and image on GP card stock and used my BIC markers to color in the cupcakes.  I added some pops of glitter gel pen to each little cake.  I used a pretty Turquoise to mat the image and sentiment on.  Adding gems to the corners finished up this one.  I can't wait to see what next month's image is.

Hang in there, it's almost over for tonight.  HE HE...I need to start uploading and posting more often than I do instead of waiting until I have so many.  Then y'all's eyes wouldn't bleed by the time you have checked out all the cards.  But, I do thank y'all for spending time looking at my creations.  God bless y'all.

Friends

Here we go..on to card #6.  I used another digi from Digital Stamps 4 Joy for this card.  I fell in love with this image as soon as I saw it and knew I had to have it.

LOL.  I can just picture two redneck women when I see this card.   And let me assure y'all, being a redneck is not a bad thing.  I used my colored pencils for this image.  The sentiment is from somewhere on this world wide web.  I know it was  a freebie.  I started with a card base from Gina K which is 5" x 5".  I added a DP from DCWV stack called All Girl.  I used my Cuttle Bug and Labels 10 Nestabilities to die cut a piece of DP from the same paper pack.  The sentiment I inked with DI Vintage Photo and matted it on a piece of Dark Blue from Recollections.  I added a piece of cute high heeled pumps ribbon from American Crafts across the lower part of the card.  I used pop dots for the girls and added three Prima flowers to the corner to finish off the card.

Let me know what y'all think about my two redneck girls.  Have a great night. God bless y'all.

All You Need is Love

Don't you just love that Beatles's song?  All you need is love.  Isn't that the truth.  All you need is God's love.  At least for me that's true.  I love my husband dearly, but I could actually live without it.  I couldn't live without God's love.

Card #5 is another Valentine's Day card.  I am actually kind of glad it's over.  It's time to move on to Easter Cards and Mother's Day cards.

The digi for this card comes from Digital Stamps 4 Joy.  I used my BIC markers and colored pencils to add the color to this image.  After trimming the image, I inked it with DI Vintage Photo.  I matted it on a piece of Burgundy card stock from Recollections.  The card base is Red Riding Hood from SU.  The image was printed on GP.  I used a beautiful piece of patterned paper from DCWV that has flowers and butterflies on it for the back ground.  The butterflies came from K and Co.

Thanks so much for sticking with me y'all.  God bless.

Knitting

Wow..I'm rolling right along.  Card #4 coming right up.

This is a new, cute little image from Digi Darla.  Hop on over to our store and pick up this cutie.  I used my colored pencils for this image.  I followed a sketch from Mojo Monday to create it.  I started with a Cloud Blue card base from Recollections that is 5" x 5".  I have really gotten into the square cards lately.  I need to invest in some envelopes to fit these larger cards.

I added a strip of Dark Blue card stock on an angle behind the image.  The DP is from DCWV.  I used my Fiskars Border punch for the strip of Olive (Recollections) at the bottom.  The flowered strip of DP  is from American Crafts.  I used my new flower die to add an Olive rose to the corner.  There is a dark green gem in the center of the rose.

Thanks so much for checking out my creations.  I appreciate it so much.  God bless y'all.

Oh Taste and See

Thanks for coming back for card #3.  I really appreciate it.  For this card I used  a Scripture stamp from Doodle Pantry.  I love the word art designs that I have been finding online lately.  I know that I could probably sit down with my word processing program and make my own, by why do that when I can find them online for free right?

This picture is a little bit blurry and I am so sorry for that.  I couldn't find my camera tonight so I was using my daughter's.  To create this card, I started with a white 5" x 5" card base from Recollections.  I used my Circle Cutter to make the vellum circle.  It's from The Paper Co. and is a beautiful frosted red toile pattern.  I inked the edges of it with DI Vintage Photo.  I then cut a strip of Red card stock from Recollections to 2.5" x 5" and adhered it over the lower half of the circle.    I printed out the sentiment, notched the end and inked it with Vintage Photo.  I adhered it to the middle of the red panel.   To make the three little roses, I used my brand new toy.  I bought my first flower die from La La Land.  It has a small and a medium rose die in the pack.  This is the medium size.  I need to purchase a large and maybe an extra large one too.  I love it.  I tried my hand at free hand paper roses and never could get them to look right.  This die makes it so much easier.  I added a white pearl to each center for some bling.  That's it.  A very simple card, but stunning I think.

Stay tuned for card #4.  God bless y'all.

Vintage Love

Welcome to card #2.  I had so much fun making this one.  I love the vintage/shabby chic look.  I don't know why I don't do more like this.

I started this card with a 5" x 7" card base from Recollections in Ivory.  The back ground paper is a piece of printed vellum from World Win Papers.  I have had this, OK hoarding it, for about two years.  I love it.  But, I am trying to empty out my stash so that I can bring in some new product.  I used two different vintage papers from Hot Off the Press as accent pieces.  I crumpled them up, spread them out and inked them with DI Vintage Photo to distress them.  After printing off this beautiful Gibson Girl image, I added just a bit of color to her hair, eyes, lips and the roses.  I inked the entire image and heavy on the edges with DI Vintage Photo to age the card stock. I added a length of double layer, ruffled, ivory lace from Jo Ann's across the bottom portion of the card.  I then added the image.  On either side of the image I added a strip of flat back ivory pearls.  I used Fabri-Tac glue for the first time and although it takes a while to dry, it worked beautifully.  The three roses I bought at AC Moore and are made by Chelsey Home.  I found this LOVE sentiment in the pack of vintage papers from HOTP.  I love the way it turned out.  I hope y'all do too.

Thanks for peeking at my creation tonight.  God bless.

Eat Cake

Good Evening friends.  How was y'all's day?  Mine was pretty good.  I sold 15 cards to a friend of mine and sold my first one on eBay.  I'm pretty excited about that.  I listed three more today, so we'll see how it goes.

My first card for tonight uses a new artist's design.  I just recently Heather Valentin stamps and I am in love.  Yes sirree..love 'em.  They are so cute.  Check them out if you haven't already.  She has a ton that are retiring and are only $1.

Didn't I tell you she was cute?  I used my BIC markers to give her some color.  I think I do better with those than the Spectrum Noir.  Or maybe I just need to practice some more.  The sentiment came from Beyond the Fringe.  I used a premade card base from Recollections for this one.  I needed it to be 5" x 7" in order to fit all the elements on the card.  I don't usually make cards this big, but I think it came out very nice.  The image mat is Turquoise from Recollections and the DP is from DCWV.  It's actually two different pieces of paper.  I cut around the strip with the flowers and added it to the zig zag back ground.  When I finished, I realize how much it looks like one piece.  I rounded all the corners with my Recollections corner rounder.  I so want a Corner Chomper.  I used DI Broken China to edge the sentiment for a little pop.  I added a little glitter gel pen to highlight the image.  The large gems are from Queen and Co.

Thanks for stopping by.  Stay tuned.  I am posting ten new cards tonight.  God bless.
